voromolto versatile. Su questa linea sono infatti proposti ben 11mo-
delli con6 differenti motorizzazioni (FARMotion a3 o a4 cilindri confor-
mi alla Tier4i) e con trasmissionemeccanicaoPowershift per adattarsi
allediversecondizioni di lavoro. Complessivamente,sono tre leseriedi-
sponibili per i nuovi Explorer – Light Duty (LD),Mid Duty (MD) e Heavy
Duty (HD) –chepresentanopassi,altezze,masse (ecarichimassimi am-
missibili) modulati sui diversi tipi di impiego cui sono destinati (gli HD
sono più robusti, i Light e i MidDuty più leggeri per unminor compatta-
mentodel suolo). Le trasmissioni adisposizionesononumerose,apar-
tireda cambi completamentemeccanici da8+8a20+20marce, grazie
all’inversore al volante e ai miniriduttore e super-riduttore a richiesta.
L’aggiunta di unmoduloHi-Lo a doppio stadio implementa i rapporti di-
sponibili da 16+16 fino a 40+40, con possibilità di scegliere tra inver-
soremeccanico o idraulico sottocarico, entrambi con comando al vo-

The line now brings together 11models built with6 engine options, the
3 and 4 cylinder FARMotion which conforms to Tier4i emission norms,
andmechanical or Powershift transmissions suitable for various work
conditions. Overall, the new Explorers are available in three series –
Light Duty (LD),MidDuty (MD) andHeavy Duty (HD) – featuring various
wheelbases, height and weight with highest admissible loads built ac-
cording to the operations they were designed for. The HD aremore ro-
bust and theLDandMDmodelsare lighterweight for lessening soil com-
paction. Themany transmissionoptionsonoffer beginwith the fullyme-
chanical 8+8 gearbox with 20+20 speeds with creeper range andme-
chanical synchromesh reverse shuttle. Inaddition there is the40+40HI-
LO shift and Sense Clutch-on-the-go hydraulic reverse shuttle enabling
mechanical or hydraulic reversing under load, both controlled from the
shift lever.At the top is the Powershift version for 60+60 speeds. Front
axles come in three three different lengths according to the weight of
the tractor, available also in a 2-WD version. Dual traction engagement
as well as differential lock are controlled electro-hydraulically. The Ex-
plorer hydraulic system is theopen center typewithdedicated55 l/min
or 60 l/min,ECOpumpprovidinganeconomic1600 rpmengine regime
with up for 4 auxiliary distributors. The rear mechanical lift can be ac-
companied by electronic or mechanical rams for a total capacity up to
4.8 tons.
