d Eima International Valtra fa le cose in grande. In concomitanza con la presen-
tazione della nuova corporate identity, che vede rinnovati tanto la veste grafica
quanto il pay-off (“YourWorkingMachine”), lo storico brand finlandese battezza la
quarta generazione della serie T. Si tratta – fa sapere Valtra – di una linea completamente
riprogettata, proposta con una potenza compresa tra155 e250 cavalli e con una coppia fi-
no 1000Nm, tali cioè da garantire tutta la forza necessaria per portare a termine anche le
lavorazioni più impegnative. Complessivamente, la serie T prevede quattromodelli: Direct,
Versu, Active (ha una trasmissione Powershift associata ad un impianto idraulico Load) so-
no già disponibili,mentre il quarto – l’HiTech – entrerà in produzione il prossimo anno. Tra i
loro punti di forza, le versioni Versu, Active eHiTech possono vantare un uso innovativo del-
la trasmissionePowershift (che fornisceun totaledi 20 velocità inquattro gamme, piùaltre
10 nelle gamme del superriduttore) poiché l’utilizzo del pedale frizione si rende necessario
soltanto in fase di avvio del motore,mentre i pedali del freno gestiscono anche sulla frizio-
ne (la funzione della frizione automatica AutoTraction è sempre attiva) e quelli dell’accele-
ratore controllanonon il regimedelmotorema la velocitàdi guida (comenel casodi una tra-
smissione Direct continua). «Il sistema automatico risultamolto vantaggioso, specie quan-
do si impiegano attrezzi trainati dalla presa di forza, poiché l’operatore può attivare il siste-
ma Powershift e regolare la velocità semplicemente premendo il pedale dell’acceleratore.
Questo consente al conducente di avere lemani libere – spiega con una nota tecnica Val-
tra – per gestire il binomio trattore-applicazione». Inoltre, la trasmissione Powershift dell’a-
zienda finlandese prevede la funzione “hill holder” (partenza assistita in salita), ed inoltre
una gestione dell’idraulica in collaborazione con la trasmissione ed il motore, per rendere
più agevole il lavoro con il caricatore. Infine, per quanto riguarda lemotorizzazioni disponi-
bili, tutti i modelli della Serie T sono alimentati da propulsori AGCO Power con un sistema
antiemissioni SCR standard Fase 4: nel caso dellemacchine più robuste si tratta di un vi-
goroso 7,4 litri, di un 6,6 litri per quelle più piccole.

250Hpwith torqueonup to1000Nm toguarantee the strengthnecessary for the
completion of themost demanding operations.The threeT Seriesmodels now on
themarket are theDirect, theVersuand theActive,withPowershift transmissions
and load sensing hydraulics on theDirect andVersu versions.A fourthmodel, the
HiTech, will go into production in the coming year.Among the strong points of the
Versu,Activeand theHiTech to come is the innovativeuseof their Powershift trans-
missions with 20 speeds in four ranges plus another 10 in the creeper range be-
cause the clutch is engaged only for starting the engine.The brakesmanage also
the clutch when AutoTraction is engaged tomake it easy for the operator to use
only the accelerator and brake pedals to operate the tractor to control engine
regime and driving speed, as in the case of the continuous variable Direct trans-
mission. Valtra said,“Theautomatic system is very advantageous, especiallywhen
towed implementsaremountedon thePTO,because theoperator canactivate the
Powershift system and regulate speed simply to applying the accelerator pedal.
Thisallows thedriver tohavehishands free tomanage the tractor-implement com-
bination”. Moreover the Finnishmanufacturer’s Powershifts also provide a full hill
holder function, for an assisted uphill start-up, and a servomechanism designed
to facilitate theworkof the loader through themanagement of thehydraulics com-
binedwith the transmission and engine. For theT Seriesmotorization thesemod-
els are driven by AGCO Power Tier IV engines with SCR technology which cleans
exhaust emissions while optimizing engine performance. The range of these pow-
er plants go from6.6 liters up to the vigorous 7.4 litermodel.
