P
roductivity, comfort, ergonomics and reliability all built in
by Laverda are coming to the market wrapped in the
M400 series of intelligent models with great yield, the
pleasing esthetics achieved in the design and components stud-
ied for these combines down to the finest detail. The tech-
nologies deployed by the manufacturer in Breganza, near Vi-
cenza, are truly impressive, beginning with electronic man-
agement. This system has been renewed with the introduction
of the TechTouch Terminal giving the operator full and imme-
diate control of all the functions of the machine. And then there
is the Powergrip multi-purpose lever built into the armrest of
the seat for increasing comfort and sound ergonomics with con-
trols well within the reach of the driver. The cutting system is
available with a Power Flow platform and the Free Flow and the
GSAX, Ground Self Alignment Extra, is a another piece of in-
telligent-operation equipment. The Prepare and Feeding Roller
(PFR) and the Multi Crop Separator Plus (MCS Plus), ensure, re-
spectively, steady and uniform feeding as well as sensitive and
efficient handling in threshing. Taken together, the system
makes harvesting easier and yields more profitable. The high-
tech answer for the power plant was the installation of the III/B
Agco Power engine with SCR and DOC technologies providing
lower fuel consumption to optimize the costs of operations and
reduce harmful emissions while boosting the reliability of the
engine. The shakers are high capacity design which can be reg-
ulated from the cab and bring in the benefit of continuous con-
trol over grain recovery. Another winning card for the M400 se-
ries is the Skyline Cab built for greater comfort thanks to the
location of the drivers seat which was given a high back and
pneumatic suspension in front of the wheel which can be reg-
ulated for optimizing the machine and its function. High marks

il mercato si aspetta da Laverda è concentrato nelle
mietitrebbie della Serie M400; modelli “intelligenti” e
ad alto rendimento che strizzano l’occhio all’estetica, con un
design accattivante, curato fin nei minimi dettagli. Ma ad im-
pressionare sono, soprattutto, le dotazioni tecnologiche pre-
viste dalla casa di Breganze (Vicenza). Il sistema di gestione
elettronica, anzitutto, è stato rinnovato con l’introduzione Te-
chTouch Terminal per dare all’operatore il controllo totale e
immediato delle funzioni della macchina, mentre la nuova le-
va multifunzione Powergrip è stata integrata nel bracciolo del
sedile per aumentare il comfort e l’ergonomia del posto gui-
da (i comandi sono a portata di mano). Il sistema di taglio,
invece, è stato implementato con la disponibilità della piat-
taforma Power Flow oltre alla Free Flow e – e con il GSAX
(Ground Self Alignment Extra) per lavorazioni intelligenti. Il Pre-
pare and Feeding Roller (PFR) e il Multi Crop Separator Plus
(MCS Plus), dal canto loro, provvedono – rispettivamente – a
mantenere costante l’alimentazione e a conferire delicatezza
ed efficacia agli interventi di trebbiatura. Il sistema, nel suo
insieme, rende più agevole e redditizia la raccolta del pro-
dotto. Soluzioni high-tech anche per il motore, un ecologico
fase III/B Agco Power che si presenta con tecnologie SCR e
DOC, le quali, oltre a ridurre i consumi, a ottimizzare le eco-
nomie di esercizio e a contenere le emissioni nocive, au-
mentano l’affidabilità del propulsore. I crivelli, infine sono, del
tipo High Capacity Design (HDC): possono essere regolati elet-
tricamente dalla cabina e offrono il vantaggio di un controllo
continuo sul recupero della granella. L’altra carta vincente
della serie M400 è rappresentata dalla cabina Skyline Cab
che, studiata per migliorare il comfort e la posizione di guida
