ore than 58,000 visitors literally took over the field
in Wadenbrunn, Germany, in late August for Fendt’s
traditional day in the field. The day of field trials
was packed with such events as spectacles in an arena,
the presentation of new Fendt technologies and a vast
lineup of more than 130 implements plus a fashion show
featuring the new Fendt Country collection. Peter-Josef Paf-
fen, the spokesman for AGCO/Fendt management, de-
clared, “It was a spectacular day in the field and we are
very happy that so many visitors reached Wadenbrunn to
take part in a demonstration which comes as an occasion
for direct contact with our customers.” Three shows were
staged to enliven the day passed under the single motto,
“Deliver Efficiency”. The first outing of the day was dedi-
cated to Fendt tractors, the new 300 Vario series and SCR
technology, and the leader Fendt 313 Vario with a maxi-
mum of 135 HP. Also brought in were the 200 Vario and
the 700, 800, 900 Vario series with the Variotronic con-
cept. Other spectacles were provided by the new Fendt
Katana 65 forage harvester chopping corn and the un-
veiling of new Fendt harvester features. The day came to
an end with a demonstration of the Fendt Guide Correct
system which makes it possible to provide a radio link be-
tween two tractors via satellite to allow both tractors to
perform the same operations with only one driver on
board. Guide Connect fits into the Fendt context of further
new and important developments in manufacturing
processes.
In September, after thirteen months of construction and
investments of some $ 300 million, AGCO/Fendt inaugu-
rated the Marktoberdorf and Asbach-Bäumenhein factory
complex. Planning for this Fendt ahead2 project was fo-
cused on two objectives: lean production and achieving
the greatest flexibility possible. These ambitions became

ltre 58.000 visitatori hanno letteralmente invaso i campi
della tenuta Wadenbrunn (Germania), lo scorso settembre,
in occasione della tradizionale giornata in campo Fendt.
Una giornata ricca di eventi con prove in campo, spettacoli in are-
na, presentazioni delle nuove tecnologiche Fendt, una vastissima
gamma di attrezzature (130 differenti applicazioni) e sfilate di mo-
da con la nuova collezione Fendt country. «E’ stata una giornata
in campo spettacolare – ha commentato Peter-Josef Paffen, por-
tavoce della direzione Agco/Fendt – e siamo molto contenti che
così tanti visitatori abbiano raggiunto Wadenbrunn per parteci-
pare ad una manifestazione che rappresenta un’occasione di con-
tatto diretto con i clienti». Tre spettacoli, con differenti tematiche,
hanno animato la giornata, ma tutti accomunati da uno stesso
slogan: “efficienza da toccare”. Il primo show in mattinata è sta-
to dedicato ai trattori Fendt con la nuova serie 300 Vario con tec-
nologia SCR, incluso il modello di punta Fendt 313 Vario con una
potenza massima di 135 cavalli. Ovviamente non potevano nean-
che mancare le serie 200 Vario e le serie 700, 800, 900 Vario
con il concetto di elettronica Variotronic. Spettacolare il momen-
to della trinciatura del mais, con la nuova Fendt Katana 65 e la
presentazione delle novità Fendt nel campo delle macchine da
raccolta. Il culmine, della giornata, si è raggiunto con la dimo-
strazione del sistema Fendt Guide Connect, grazie al quale è pos-
sibile collegare via satellite e via radio due trattori in modo che
uno dei due possa svolgere le stesse attività dell’altro senza ope-
ratore a bordo. Questo in un contesto di importanti novità anche
per quanto riguarda le strutture produttive del Gruppo. Nel mese
