T
he models in the newVirtus range from SAME, theVirtus 100
at 99 hp, the 110 at 110 hp and the 120 at 122 hp, can
claim flexibility and vigorous performance and can be cus-
tomized to fit end-users’ requirements. These tractors are built for
the high productive needs of contractors and medium to large scale
farming enterprises, machines which can be deployed for a wide
range of operations, from plowing to haying and the transport of
materials. These characteristics have been ensured thanks to a
powerful hydraulics plant with pump capacity at 90 liters/min, a
four-speed PTO 540/540ECO/1000/1000ECO rpm and the syn-
chronized PTO with an independent shaft opening to allow the trac-
tor to be hitched to any type of implement. The power plant is a 4-
cylinder Deutz Common Rail engine with electronic management
in conformity withTier 4i norm turning out 95% of its power at 1600
rpm. With these models, SAME is introducing an important tech-
nological innovation designed to facilitate the work of the driver and
hitching up the implements.This is the Stop&Go systemwith which,
coupled with an SDF Sense Clutch hydraulic reverser, the driver can
control tractor movements with the sole and exclusive use of the
brake pedals, that is, without relying on the clutch. Moreover, the
hydraulic reverser lever is integrated with the reactivity modulator
with which the response of the reverser can be can be selected and
calibrated in relation to the operation being performed. Equally in-
novative is the SDD, Steering Double Displacement, device which,
with a touch on a button, the driver perform headland maneuvers,
reducing turns of the steering wheel for maximum steering. Anoth-
er advanced solution has been applied to the 6,600 load capacity
rear lift with electronic control. When the lift and these hydraulics
are not in use, the energy-saving plant’s specific on/off valve on the
hydraulic circuit automatically shuts down the flow of oil to the ser-
vices and sends it directly to the transmission. This means the lu-
bricant is maintained at a lower temperature which improves qual-
ity and durability. Also up for mention is the integrated hydrostatic
brake system which includes independent disk oil-bath brakes on
all four wheels and the Park-Brake, a system which not only makes
for excellent braking but also ensures even greater safety for Virtus
tractors.

sentano i modelli della nuova gamma Virtus - 100 (99HP), 110
(110HP) e 120 (122HP) – pensati dalla Same per le esigenze
produttive dei contoterzisti e delle aziende agricole medio-grandi; mac-
chine progettate per adattarsi a un’ampia varietà di lavorazioni (ara-
tura, fienagione,movimentazione di materiali). Una caratteristica, que-
sta, ottenuta grazie non soltanto all’impianto idraulico ad alto rendi-
mento (pompa da 90 l/min), ma anche alle quattro velocità della PTO
540/540ECO/1000/1000ECO giri/min e alla PTO sincronizzata con
albero di uscita indipendente, che consentono di abbinare al trattore
ogni tipo di attrezzatura. Motorizzati con un robusto ma parsimonio-

a controllo elettronico (conforme al-
la Tier 4i), in grado di erogare il 95% della potenza massima già a
1.600 giri/min, i Virtus tengono a battesimo un’importante innova-
zione tecnologica che agevola, tra le altre, le operazioni con la pala
operatrice e l’aggancio delle applicazioni. Si tratta del sistema
Stop&Go, abbinato all’inversore idraulico SDF Sense Clutch, grazie al
quale l’utilizzatore può gestire il movimento del trattore agendo solo
ed esclusivamente sui pedali dei freni, senza cioè usare la frizione.
Sulla leva dell’inversore idraulico, inoltre, è stato integrato un modu-
latore di reattività con cui è possibile selezionare e calibrare la risposta
dell’inversore in funzione delle proprie esigenze di lavoro. Non meno
innovativo è il dispositivo SDD (Steering Double Displacement) il qua-
le, tramite la pressione di un pulsante, permette al conducente di
compiere manovre più precise e impegnative, dimezzando i giri del
volante per la sterzata massima. Soluzioni avanzate anche per il sol-
levatore posteriore a controllo elettronico (capacità fino a 6.600 kg):
quando il sollevatore e i distributori non sono in uso, l’impianto idrau-
lico energy-saving, attraverso una specifica valvola on/off del circuito
idraulico, chiude automaticamente il flusso d’olio ai servizi e lo ri-
manda direttamente alla trasmissione. In questo modo il lubrifican-
te mantiene una temperatura più bassa, migliorando in qualità e du-
rata. Da menzionare, infine, il sistema di frenatura servoassistita
PowerBrake (freni indipendenti a dischi in bagno d’olio sulle 4 ruote
che diminuisce del 30% i carichi sui pedali) e il freno di stazionamento
Park-Brake (sistema idraulico-meccanico) che, ottimizzando la frena-
ta, rendono le trattrici Virtus ancora più sicure.
