T
he ROC TR 760 continuous hay merger is coming up for
presentation at EIMA International 2012. ROC has added
the new model to the manufacturer’s range of six machines
with work widths extending from 3.3 meters for the RT 330 up to
12.2 meters for the RT 1220 and is unwrapping a number of high-
ly innovative technological components for the TR 760. The con-
tinuous merger features a revolutionary three head
configuration, two lateral with conveyer belts and one central
only for pickup, and is equipped with separate suspension sys-
tems for each making it possible to create two windrows, one
central and one to the side, or a single central windrow, as re-
quired. Swaths can be lifted and rotated repeatedly without
compromising the quality of the product. Also the rear wheels
are fitted with a suspension system designed by the Romag-
nola manufacturer to facilitate road transport. Folding the RT
760 for transport down to a width of 2.55 meters, height of
3.10 m and length of 5.2 m does not require dismantling any
of the machine’s components. Another strong point for the new
model is that the merger leaves a windrow which is light and
fluffy to promote fast and uniform drying thanks to the innov-
ative construction features adopted by ROC. The pickup, lifting
and transport of the product on the belts ensures that the for-
age does not remain on the ground and absorb humidity. From
the strictly operative point of view, the RT 760 will be welcomed
on the market thanks to this model’s great productivity. A ROC
communiqué reported, “Compared to other models on the mar-
ket, the RT series of mergers make it possible to greatly pro-
long the working life of the machines with significant savings
in manpower and equipment brought to the field.” The RT 760
is available with a work width of 7.6 m and a distance of 1.7
m between the two central belts to form windrows of up to 150
cm wide.

on il modello RT 760 riflettori puntati sulla famiglia di an-
danatori a nastro della scuderia Roc. Il modello – che viene
presentato ad Eima International 2012 – si inserisce all’in-
terno di una gamma composta da altre sei applicazioni con lar-
ghezze di lavoro comprese tra i 3,3 metri di RT 330 e i 12,2 metri
di RT 1220, e presenta soluzioni tecnologiche molto innovative. For-
mato da tre elementi aperti durante la fase di lavoro – due laterali
(pick up e nastro trasportatore) e uno centrale (solo pick up) – RT
760 è dotato di un sistema di sospensioni su ogni elemento, gra-
zie al quale è possibile creare, a seconda delle esigenze, due an-
dane (una centrale e una laterale) oppure un’unica andana centrale
(le andane possono essere sollevate e girate più volte senza com-
promettere la qualità del prodotto). Anche le ruote posteriori sono
equipaggiate con un sistema di sospensioni, progettato dall’azienda
romagnola per agevolare il trasporto su strada: una volta chiusa
(per ripiegare RT 760 non è necessario smontare alcun compo-
nente), la macchina non supera i 2,55 metri di larghezza i 3,10 m
di altezza e i 5,2 metri di lunghezza. Questi, peraltro, non sono gli
unici punti di forza di RT 760. L’applicazione dell’impresa rimine-
se, infatti, consente di raggiungere un’essiccazione ottimale del
prodotto, poiché la particolare soluzione costruttiva adottata dalla
Roc – la raccolta, il sollevamento e il trasporto del prodotto su na-
stro - impedisce che il foraggio, restando a contatto con il terreno,
ne assorba l’umidità. Dal punto di vista strettamente operativo, in-
vece, RT 760 si fa apprezzare per la sua elevata produttività. «Ri-
spetto ad altri modelli presenti sul mercato, con gli andanatori del-
la serie RT è possibile prolungare considerevolmente la fase lavoro
delle macchine – si legge in una nota tecnica della ditta –. Con un
significativo risparmio in termini di forza lavoro e mezzi impiegati sul
campo». Rt 760 è disponibile con una larghezza di lavoro di 7,6 me-
tri e con una distanza tra i due nastri della zona centrale che arriva
fino a 1,7 metri così da formare andane fino a 150 centimetri.
