amessa al bando dei concianti neonicotinoidi, e la con-
seguentenecessità (pressoché inderogabile) di ricorrere
all’effettuazionedi trattamenti inpostemergenzasulmais
ha rilanciato il mercato delle barre irroratrici semoventi sca-
vallanti, i cosiddetti “trampoli”.Si tratta inquestocasodimez-
zi particolari,chedifferisconopiuttostonettamentedalle clas-
siche irroratrici semoventi dotatedi barradi distribuzione, da
molto tempo diffuse soprattutto nel comprensori a coltivazio-
neestensiva.
Infatti, sullesemoventi classiche la luce liberadal suoloè fis-
sa (edi solito compresa traunoeduemetri circa),mentre in-
vece, grazie a cilindri idraulici dedicati, per i trampoli la varia-
zionedi talealtezzapuòsuperare i tremetri,apartiredaquo-
temoltobasse,peculiaritàche tra l’altroagevola lasalitae la
discesadal postodi guida.
Tra l’altro,perentrambe le tipologiedimacchine, ilmercatopo-
trebbe tra breve tempo trarre notevole impulso dal completo
recepimento delle direttive comunitarie inmateria di uso so-
stenibile dei prodotti fitosanitari, questo in relazione alla ne-
cessità di rinnovare buona parte del parcomacchine tradizio-

uropean bans on neonicotinoid pesticides resulting
in more or less unavoidable recourse to post-emer-
gencemaize treatment has led to the revival on the
market of self-propelled sprayerswith row-straddlingbooms,
so-called trampolines. This is amatter of a special means
which differs fairly sharply from the classic self-propelled
sprayer equippedwith a sprayer boomused for a long time
especially in limited area of extended croplands.
In fact traditional self-propelled machines feature fixed
ground clearance, usually between about one to two me-
ters, whereas thanks to large dedicatedhydraulic cylinders
for trampolines the variation in height can reach threeme-
ters, starting from very low ground clearance. This means
ground clearance can be regulated up and down with no
need for the operator to climb down from the drivers seat
to do so.
Among other points, themarket could soon be given a sub-
stantial boost for both type of machine with passage into
law of theEuropeanUnionDirective on the sustainable use
of plant treatment products leading on to the need for the
renewal of a considerable part of the traditional machin-
ery invention.Many farmers coulddecide to scrap their pre-
sent machine because it would not be economic to bring
it up to compliance with the new norms. In these cases,
there could be a significant increase in recourse to con-
tractors for carrying out plant treatment, not only because
of technical considerations alone but especially for bu-
reaucratic reasons related toauthorization for thepurchase
and use of plant treatment products, increasingly compli-
