sif. Leopportunitàdi cooperazione fra l’Italiae l’Egitto –que-
sto è emerso nel corso dell’incontro – sono notevoli, poiché
l’industria italianadellemacchineagricoleedellacomponen-
tisticapresentauna grande capacitàdi adattamentoalleesi-
genze dei Paesi della sponda sud del Mediterraneo che pre-
sentano colturesimili aquelle italiane. Il sistemadi gestione
dei servizi legati allameccanizzazione vuole essere la prero-
gativa delle aziende italiane che intendono non solo deloca-
lizzarema fare effettiva rete con la ricerca locale per avviare
elementi di innovazione anche in considerazione dei cambia-
menti climatici che rappresentano un laboratorio interessan-
teper il futuro in Italia. L’adattabilitàdelle tecnologiealleesi-
genze specifiche dell’agricoltura egiziana chiama dunque in
causa il ruolodella ricerca, che –èstatosottolineato– costi-
tuisce insieme con la cooperazione commerciale il secondo
pernodellaprogetto italo-egiziano. L’Egitto rappresenta infat-
ti, per lesue caratteristiche climatiche,unasortadi laborato-
rio per testare tecnologie, sistemi colturali e cantieri mecca-
nizzati validi per la gran parte dei Paesi dell’Africa settentrio-
nale, e lamessaapuntodi tecnologieedi sistemimirati sul-
leesigenzespecifichedei territori africani rappresentaper l’in-
dustria italiana l’elemento chiave per una cooperazione effi-
caceeduratura.

the management of services associated with mechaniza-
tion is a prerogative for these Italian enterprises which in-
tend not only to delocalize but create an effective network
with local research for setting up innovations in light of cli-
mate change considerations as a laboratory of interest for
the future of Italy. The adaptability of technologies for the
specific needs of Egyptianagriculture thus calls on the role
of research which is, it was underscored, the second pillar
in the Italian-Egyptian project beside commercial coopera-
tion. In fact, because of its climatic conditions, Egypt is a
sort of laboratory for testing technologies, crop systems and
mechanization worksites valid for great parts of the North
African countries in that developing technologies and sys-
tems targeted on the specific requirements of the lands of
Africa is a key factor for the Italian industry for effective
and lasting cooperation here.
