EIMA Green, gardening in the spotlight

The appointment with the exhibition, one of EIMA International’s areas of specialization, falls at a very favourable time for the gardening market. Gardening: the first quarter freezes purchases

The prolonged winter weather in Italy in the first quarter of 2018 reduced the demand for machinery and equipment for gardening and the maintenance of greenery. Comagarden, the manufacturers association, expects to see the recovery of sales over the year thanks to bonus tax breaks for restructuring gardens and green areas. In the meantime, preparations are moving ahead for EIMA Green, the salon on gardening scheduled for next November 7 to 11 in Bologna for 270 specialized industries

Machinery for greenery: market stable in 2017

Sales of machinery and equipment for gardening and groundskeeping showed a marginal 0.6% decline by the end of last year. Comagarden/Morgan data on single types disclosed the way the long dry spell during the year reduced the growth of greenery to penalized the traditional maintenance machinery, especially mowers, chainsaws and brush cutters

Gardening: market stable in 2016, growing in 2017

In spite of the weather tending toward a scarcity of rainfall leading to the reduced vegetation of plants lowering the demand for machinery and maintenance, the 2016 balance sheet shows sales substantially in line with the previous year at a decline of 0.5%. Estimates based on the first quarter of 2017 point to an overall increase of 2% with significant gains for brushcutters, trimmers, leaf blowers and vacuums and robotic mowers. Comagarden President Franco Novello affirms that innovative technologies and new types of products are decisive factors for the industries in the sector which have to focus on professionals as well as private users and hobbyists

Gardening: 2015 first half positive for the market

According to data made public by Comagarden, in FederUnacoma, and the Morgan survey group, the sector closed with a another gain of 2.9% in sales for the first half of 2015 over the same period in 2014 after climbing 7.6%...

Garden machinery: Italian market growing

Sales rose 9.2% in the first half of 2014 and the estimate for the full year points to a balance sheet in the black with a 4.3% gain. The EIMA Green Salon scheduled for November in the setting of EIMA International in Bologna will come as an occasion for monitoring machinery and equipment demand on the world markets
