ew Holland will unveil a technological spectacular at EIMA
International 2012 with the spotlight on the tractor cate-
gory with the debut of the T5 ElectroCommand and the
semi-powershift transmission, designed for speed changes with
a simple touch on a button, equally productive for heavy duty
work or road travel equipped with oversize brakes. Other than
the manual pre-selection change of range between field and
road, all the other speeds are selectable electro-hydraulically.
The ElectroCommand transmission, moreover, allows Eco sup-
port for traveling at speeds of up to 40 km/h at reduced engine
rpm for lowering fuel consumption and is fitted with a block de-
vice which heightens safety even with the tractor parked on steep
slopes. The Terralock has the job of automatic control of the en-
gagement and disengagement of dual traction as well as block-
ing. In other words, other than allowing the tractor to perform
repetitive operations, Terralock maximizes performance while
curbing tire wear and damage to the soil, especially on head-
lands. The new T5s are powered by a lively Common Rail turbo
produced by Fiat Power Train Industrial. The 3.4 liter F5C engine
with EGR turns out 99 to 114 hp and hits peak power at 1900
rpm. Another outstanding feature of the T5 series can be found
in New Holland’s design of the VisionView cab providing unsur-
passed ergonomics and panoramic visibility thanks to a the ful-
ly opening transparent roof hatch giving the driver a perfect view
of the loader at full extension with the lowest obscured band in
the segment. The curved and openable side windows allow the
driver to keep an eye on off-set mowers and the rear windscreen
guarantees a crystal clear view of the rear hitch. Still on visibil-
ity, New Holland changed the location of the exhaust muffler,
putting it in line with the brackets, to provide a better view of the
inside walls of the tires. Then,

n the compartment of compact
specialists, four models in the T3F range are coming out, trac-
tors built for operations in orchards, vineyards and olive groves.
The T3F specialists have been given tailor-made design distin-
guished by fitting the body of the lift outside the transmission al-
lowing New Holland to lower the drivers seat and improve the

Eima International 2012 New Holland offre un vero “show” tec-
nologico. Nel segmento delle trattrici il focus è sulla T5 Electro-
Command con trasmissione semi-powershift, che, progettata per
cambiare marcia con la semplice pressione di un tasto, si dimostra al-
tamente produttiva sia per le lavorazioni “heavy duty” sia per gli spo-
stamenti su strada (dispositivo frenante maggiorato). Il cambio di gam-
ma (campo/strada) avviene manualmente, ma al di fuori di questa pre-
selezione tutti gli altri rapporti sono selezionabili per via elettroidrauli-
ca. La trasmissione ElectroCommand, inoltre, supporta la funzione Eco
– permette di viaggiare a 40 km/h con un ridotto regime del motore e
con bassi consumi di carburante – ed è dotata di un dispositivo di bloc-
co che migliora la sicurezza della macchina perfino sulle pendenze
estreme. Al sistema Terralock è invece affidato il compito di controlla-
re in automatico sia gli innesti e disinnesti della doppia trazione, sia i
bloccaggi. In altri termini, Terralock, oltre a svincolare l’utilizzatore dal-
le operazioni più ripetitive, massimizza il rendimento della macchina,
contenendo al tempo stesso l’usura degli pneumatici e il danneggia-
mento del suolo (specie durante le svolte a fine passata). Alimentata
da un vivace propulsore turbo Common Rail di produzione FPT Indu-
strial (l’F5C da 3,4 litri con EGR eroga tra i 99 e i 114 Hp e sviluppa la
massima potenza a 1900 giri/min.) la serie T5 si rivela molto curata
anche nel design del posto guida. Qui il fiore all’occhiello della gamma
è rappresentato dalla ergonomica cabina VisionView: il tettuccio tra-
sparente ad apertura totale offre una visuale ottimale sul caricatore
frontale lungo tutta l’escursione di funzionamento, mentre la traversa
del tetto sottile riduce al minimo la zona cieca. La sezione posteriore
della cabina si presenta con vetri bombati (ottimizzano la vista sulle
trinciatrici portate posteriormente) e con un pannello ad alta visibilità
che, prolungando il lunotto, ottimizza la gestione delle operazioni di ag-
