Angledozer o tiltdozer?O entrambi? Può essere utile chiarire: le prime
lame apripista prodotte eranomobili sul solo asse verticale, tramite la
movimentazione idraulicadel telaioprincipale.Permolte lavorazioni non
servivanull’altro–ad esempioper dosare lamassadi terra (oaltrima-
teriali) da spostare–mentreper altre incombenze ciònonera sufficien-
te, come nel caso del ripristino di strade sterrate, le cosiddette strade
bianche, dove èmolto importantemantenere il fondo leggermente in-
clinato verso un latooppure a schiena d’asino, per permettere un ade-
guatodeflussodelleacquemeteoriche.Perquestoè statomessoapun-
to l’angledozer,ovvero la lama con lapossibilitàdi inclinazione trasver-
sale, inmodo che un’estremitàpossa affondaremaggiormente nel ter-
reno rispettoal centro, creandounapendenza laterale.
Il tiltdozer, invece, permette di inclinare (sempre idraulicamente) la lama
nel sensodell’avanzamento:unadelleestremitàsaràpiùdistantedal cor-
po trattore,mentre l’altra logicamente si avvicina. Si crea in talmodoun
flussoobbligatodimaterialeasportato (suun lato) e riportato (sull’altro),
che vienequindi costrettoa trasferirsi daunaparteodall’altradel tratto-
re. Senel primo casoènecessariouno snodo sferico centraleper permet-
tere l’inclinazione,nel secondocasopuò inveceesseresufficienteunpun-
tod’appoggio centraleaperno.Entrambi imovimenti sononormalmente
effettuati tramitecilindri idraulici.Danotarechemolti costruttori tendono
adassimilare i duemovimenti,definendoli indifferentementecome tiltdo-
zer, per cui è necessario fare attenzione in fase di acquisto, richiedendo
esattamente la lama con le caratteristichedesiderate.

Angledozer or tiltdozer?Or both? Itmight be useful to clarify: the fir-
st dozer blades produced could be regulated only on the vertical axis
with hydraulics mounted on themainframe. Nothingmore is needed
for many operations, for distributing amass or earth or other mate-
rials to shift, for example.But for other requirements thesebladeswe-
renot sufficient, for levellingunevengroundor for unpaved roadswhe-
re it is important tomaintain a roadbed which is slightly inclined or
humpback for rainwater drainage. For these operations what is nee-
ded is an angledozer bladewhichwith transverse regulation to angle
one endor the other todig into the terrainoff-center to create lateral
inclinations.
The tiltdozer on the other hand, again deploying hydraulics,makes it
possible to tilt theblade in thedirectionof advancewithone endat a
greater distance from the tractor while the other is logically drawing
nearer. In thisway, the flowofmaterial liftedonone side is shifted to
theotherwhich forces the transfer of thematerial fromone sideof the
tractor to the other.What is required in the former case is a central
spherical joint allowing inclination and for the second only a central
hinged support is sufficient.
Bothmovements are usually performedby hydraulic cylinders.Also to
be noted is thatmanymanufacturers tend to combine the twomove-
ments and refer without distinction to the tiltdozer sowhen purcha-
sing a blade, the buyer must be careful to request exactly the blade
with the characteristicswanted.
