A
mong the products in the Antonio Carraro stable in Bo-
logna the spotlight is certain to be trained on the Trac-
tor of the Year 2013 candidate, the SRH 9800, a hy-
drostatic reversible tractor built on an Actio articulated chas-
sis with oscillation. This pride and joy of the manufacturer in
Campodarsego, near Padua, mounts a 4-cylinder 3300 cc en-
gine with 16 valves per cylinder and electronic ERG injection
which turns out 87 hp and arrives on the market with Elec-
tronic Speed Control, ESC, for the management of speed and
engine and PTO rpm. One of the most important features of
this model is the combination of the hydrostatic transmission
and the articulated chassis with a narrow wheelbase desi-
gned by Antonio Carraro to optimize the performance of the
tractor in the most demanding of work conditions as, for
example, uneven terrain, slopes and tight spaces. Great
performance for the SRH 9800 is also ensured by reversible
drive, the large number of optionals which can be fitted and
the power of the hydrostatic continuously variable transmis-
sion which allows the driver to vary speed independent of en-
gine rpm according to various work requirements. The Auto-
motive Eco-Power system makes it possible to increase en-
gine rpm according to forward speed and the Recall Speed
allows the operator to maintain the programmed pre-set
speed. This versatile and flexible SRH is ideal for work in very
narrow spaces in vineyards for binding shoots to trellises,
land reclamation and the maintenance of public roads.
Another Antonio Carraro tractor coming to EIMA Internatio-
nal for presentation is the TTR 9800, a model built ad hoc
for haymaking with new two-piston suspension and, espe-
cially, an innovative 32-speed transmission, 16 forward and
16 reverse with robotic synchronized inverter which has ena-
bled the Padua company to improve the ergonomics and
comfort at the drivers seat. Arriving for a preview is the Ti-

Bologna, tra gli esordienti della scuderia Antonio Carraro, ri-
flettori puntati su uno dei candidati al titolo di “Tractor of the
Year” 2013. Si tratta del modello SRH9800, un trattore arti-
colato, reversibile e idrostatico, equipaggiato con il telaio oscillante Ac-
tio, uno dei fiori all’occhiello dell’impresa di Campodarsego (Padova).
Alimentato da un 4 cilindri turbo a 16 valvole da 3,3 litri a iniezione di-
retta e a controllo elettronico EGR – il propulsore eroga una potenza
di 87 cavalli – SRH9800 si presenta agli “addetti ai lavori” completo
del dispositivo Electronic Speed Control (ESC), cui è affidata la gestione
elettronica della velocità, dei giri motore e della PTO. Una delle carat-
teristiche più rilevanti di questo modello è l’abbinamento della tra-
smissione idrostatica al telaio articolato a carreggiata stretta. Abbi-
namento studiato dalla Antonio Carraro per ottimizzare le prestazioni
della trattrice nelle condizioni operative più difficili (fondi sconnessi,
pendenze e spazi più angusti, ad esempio). Del resto, a rendere
l’SRH9800 una macchina particolarmente performante contribuisco-
no sia la guida reversibile – aumenta il numero di attrezzature utiliz-
zabili e quindi le potenzialità del mezzo –, sia la trasmissione idrosta-
tica a variazione continua e a gestione elettronica, che, in funzione del-
le diverse esigenze di lavoro, permette all’operatore di variare la velo-
cità del mezzo anche in modo indipendente dai giri del motore. Ad au-
mentare i giri motore in funzione della richiesta di avanzamento e a
mantenere costante la velocità programmata e preimpostata dall’uti-
lizzare, provvedono – rispettivamente – i sistemi “Automotive” e “Re-
call Speed”. Versatile e flessibile, SRH9800 si adatta a una grande
