uova battuta d’arresto per lameccanizzazione agricole nella
Federazione Russa, dopo il crollo verticale del biennio 2009-
2010. Infatti,secondo lestimedi Agrievolution (l’associazione
che riunisce i costruttori deimaggioriPaesi produttori dimacchineagri-
cole), nel 2013 le venditedi trattori sono tornate in territorionegativo
facendo registrareuncalodel4%sul2012.Nonostante la frenatasul
mercato russo, con 40mila trattori venduti (stimati), non si è disco-
stato troppodai buoni livelli raggiunti nel 2012 (41.827unità) edha
così confermato i progressi compiuti rispettoacinqueanni prima (+3%)
quando le turbolenze internazionali nonavevanoancoracolpito il com-
parto.

Lanuova flessionehapenalizzatosoprattutto i costruttori locali, i qua-
li, stando a quanto rende noto l’Ice, hanno visto diminuire inmisura
considerevole sia il girod’affari complessivo – calatodel 12% rispet-
toal 2012 (per un totaledi 22,5miliardi di rubli,pari a490milioni di
euro) –sia levenditeunitariedi trattori (-42%)edimietitrebbie (-40%).
In calo sono risultate anche le importazioni,ma si è trattato comun-
quedi unacontrazione inferiore, in termini percentuali, rispettoaquel-
la registratadai costruttori della Federazione. Questo sembra indica-
reunasituazionedi difficoltà,senondi veraepropriacrisi,per lemec-

nother slowdown in agricultural mechanization has come
along for the Russian Federation following the steep de-
cline in the two-year period2009-2010.Agrievolution, the
association of agricultural machinerymanufacturers in the lead-
ing countries around the world, reports the estimate that tractor
sales in2013slipped into the redwitha4%decreaseunder2012.
In spite of the brake applied on the Russianmarket, with an es-
timated 40,000 unitsmoved, the figure is not far off the 41,827
units sold in2012 to confirm theprogressof 3% compared to five
years before when international turbulence had not yet hit the
sector.

The new decline has struck domesticmanufacturers especially.Ac-
cording to ICE, the Italian Foreign Trade PromotionAgency, their
turnover experienced a substantial drop, 12% under 2012 to 22.5
billion rubles, equal to 490million dollars, with tractor sales down
42%and combine harvesters plunging40%.Also imports declined
but toa lesser degree inpercentagescompared to thosenamed for
the federation’smanufacturers.Analysts forVDMA, thebigGerman
engineering industryassociationwhichsystematicallymonitors the
nearbyRussianmarket,pointed toconditions resulting froma frame-
work of overall deterioration inwhich the federation’s economy is
