IMA Energy – il salone dedicato alle tecnologiemec-
caniche e agli impianti per lo sfruttamento energeti-
co delle biomasse agricole, organizzato da FederU-
nacoma e da Itabia Italian Biomass Association, che si
svolgenell’ambitodi EIMA International – giunge inunmo-
mento importante per la politica energetica nazionale. Nel
mese di agosto, il Ministero delle Politiche Agricole Ali-
mentari e Forestali ha infatti varato un “Piano di settore
per lebioenergie”, al qualeproprio Itabiaha fornitoun con-
tributo fondamentale, riconoscendo l’importanza strate-
gica della risorsa biomassa in ambito agricolo e foresta-
le, nonché la centralità del proprio ruolo nella definizione
di percorsi di sviluppo sostenibile. In questo contesto, il

mework of EIMA International. The salon is coming along as an im-
portant event fornational energypolicy. InAugust, theMinistry forAgri-
cultural, Food and Forestry Policy, thanks to the vital Itabia contribu-
tion, unwrapped a Plan for the Sector of Bioenergy which acknow-
ledges the strategic importance of agricultural and forestry biomass
and the pivotal role these resources can play in defining sustainable
developmentprocedures.Against thisbackdrop, thebioenergysalon is
comingasanexcellent occasion for spotlighting thisnewgovernment
strategy and showcasing what themechanization industry can offer
for theefficientmanagement of thesegreenenergy resourcesand for
providing informationonexperiencesandcomparisonsof technicalmo-
dels toadopt in the variousareasof the country.Other than theexpo-
sitionsidesetupby themanufacturing industries turningoutbioenergy
andmachineryandplant, the EIMAEnergyareawill include space for
demonstration trials and a packed schedule of seminars and confe-
rences ranging from information for thegeneral public to technical and
policysessionsdedicated toexpertsandprofessional businesspeople
in the field.Onearea in the trade fair centerwill beallocated to the re-
searchersof CNR IVALSA, theNational ResearchCouncil and theTree
