ne per il giardinaggio e la cura del verde, che segna-
no in Italia una crescita del 9,2% rispetto allo stes-
so periodo dello scorso anno.
I dati – forniti dall’associazione dei costruttori Comagar-
den (FederUnacoma) in collaborazione con il gruppo di ri-
levamentoMorgan – indicano incrementi del 9,1%per i ra-
saerba, del 10,5% per lemotoseghe, del 21,5 per i dece-
spugliatori edel 22%per i trattorini,mentre in flessione ri-
sultano i trimmer (-20,4%), i tagliasiepi (-12,3%), e i ride-
on per uso professionale (22,5%).
In base all’andamento nella prima metà dell’anno e alle
stime elaborate per il semestre successivo, si prevede a
fine 2014 un bilancio ancora in attivo, con un incremento

he first half of the year was positive for the garden and
groundskeeping machinery market in Italy which rose
9.2% over the same period last year. Data provided by
the Comagardenmanufacturers association in FederUnacoma,
elaborated in cooperationwithMorgan, show increases of 9.1%
for mowers, 10.5% for chainsaws, 21.5% for brush cutters and
22% for lawn tractorsanddeclinesof 20.4% for trimmers,12.3%
for hedgecuttersand22.5% for ride-ons for professional use.On
the basis of this first-half performance and the outlook for the
second half, 2014 is expected to close with a positive balance
sheet for a4.3%gainover 2013 thanks tomore than1,051,000
machinery and equipment items sold compared to 1,008,000
the previous year. Expectations are for a5.6% increase inmow-
er sales and over average gains for brush cutters, up 11.6%,
bioshredders ahead by 6.2% and lawn and ride-on tractors for
hobbyists climbing by 9.2% and 10% respectively.
The recovery of the Italianmarket and prospects for the develop-
mentof thoseabroad– followingdownturns reported in recent years
in thewake of the global financial and economic crisis which re-
ducedmaintenance investment capabilities for private parties,
goundskeepingenterprisesandpublicadministrations–willbeclose-
lymonitored in dedicatedmeetings held during the run of EIMA
Green. Comagarden reports that this specialized salon focused on
