A capacity of 24 m³, two vertical auger chopping-mixing augers, a Stage 3B 6-cylinder JCB engine turning out 175 Hp, output silage height at 5200 mm, a 612 mm wide loading conveyor and two wheel drive. These are the leading technical specifications of the new Tuareg 7 VMF 245 Self self-propelled chopper-mixer wagon model designed and built by Seko near Padua and coming up for presentation at EIMA International. The real strong point for this machine, as for all those in the Tuareg self-propelled line, is precisely the chopper apparatus constructed in hardened steel and designed to facilitate the flow of the product from low to high to ensure an extremely sensitive work operation. The curved single-edged shape of the blade interacts counter to another blade placed diagonally for chopping with great efficiency various types of product to guarantee a homogeneous and uniform mix which conforms to the requirements of size and the recommendations for feed fiber content for ruminants. In general, Seko has designed these self-propelled machines to maintain the organoleptic characteristics of Unifeed rations. The result, the manufacturer explained, is that these silage properties are translated into an increase in dairy cattle milk production and a decline in the pathologies caused by incorrect nutrition. The chopping apparatus, however, is not the only winning card for the Taureg models. Also in this category is the silage tiller designed not only for high yield with full respect for the product but also for offering maximum visibility of the loading area. The tiller is equipped with a double coaxial motor running the rubber conveyor efficiently also for humid and heavy materials. The tillaging arm reaches an extension of 5200 mm and achieves high production of maize as well as medicinal plant silage. The operator can manage the arm directly from controls in the cab. Also remarkable is the brilliant performance of the 175 Hp engine with low fuel consumption which is mounted in the rear of the machine for easy maintenance operations.
