designs are appropriate for flame weed control in farming
and in urban and suburban settings.
All the implements were built by assembling the components
in a modular fashion, including the burners and heat ex-
changer. There was a single design adjusted in shape and
size when built to take account of the requirements of the
various operational contexts. The resulting devices were this
capable of delivering efficient thermal treatments appropri-
ate to very different conditions and environments.
The prototypes were fitted with strip burners and an external
mixer with a nozzle exploiting the Venturi Effect for the pri-
mary air input. Subsequently, after extensive fluid-dynamic
analysis, the configuration was changed to use secondary air-
flow as well and, hence, reduce GPL consumption by almost

Tutte le operatrici sono state costruite assemblando le di-
verse componenti con tecnica modulare, partendo dai bru-
ciatori per arrivare allo scambiatore di calore. Le diverse
parti delle macchine sono state quindi realizzate seguendo
un’unica idea progettuale, ma con forme e dimensioni tali
da accordarsi con le esigenze dei vari contesti operativi. Ta-
li attrezzature risultano pertanto in grado di effettuare trat-
tamenti termici efficienti e appropriati in condizioni e am-
bienti anche molto diversi tra loro.
Tutti i prototipi sono dotati di bruciatori a bacchetta e di un
miscelatore esterno provvisto di ugello che sfrutta l’effetto
“Venturi” per permettere l’ingresso dell’aria primaria. Suc-
cessivamente, in seguito ad approfonditi studi di fluidodi-
