Ama, an Italian company with more than half a century of history in the supply of components for agricultural machinery, slow moving vehicles, green space care and construction, today has more than 525,000 items in the range, 23 companies, 14 commercial foreign branches, 1,000 employees, over 80 thousand customers, and 16 production plants that work in close synergy with each other, including 3 abroad. Of the latter, one is located in India, in Ludhiana, Punjab. Ama India Enterprises Pvt. Ltd was founded in 1999 and is the result of the internationalization process that the Ama Group undertook in the 1990s.

Originally it was known as R.I.AGRI Engineers Pvt. Ltd, and today, with its surface of 8 thousand square metres and the 262 people who work in the plant, it is definitely a consolidated reality in the Indian landscape. So much so that it is one of the main producers of spare parts for the local agricultural and industrial sector.

In this regard, the Ama India plant produces spare parts for the agricultural sector and metal components intended for multiple uses, lifting arms, harnessing chains, mechanical stabilizers, linchpins and latching pins, agricultural joints, hot stamped items for soil processing, fixed steering columns, hose clamps, components for trailers and tank lorries, combine harvester teeth, and power take-offs, with a focus on 3-point hitches. As the numbers show, the relocation to the Punjab region is not an obstacle but, on the contrary, it is a competitive advantage, so much so that, if we let the results speak for themselves, Ama India in 2018 produced 50 million pieces, for a turnover of 2.7 million euros, up from the previous year, which closed at 2.56 million.

The technology developed in Italy and the constant presence of Italian personnel on site guarantee that the products, whether in the catalogue or custom designed, comply with European quality standards, therefore highly reliable and unalterable. In Ama’s Indian plant, like all the others in the Group, the work is carried out in compliance with the voluntary ISO 9001:2008 certification system, which guarantees that high quality standards are implemented and respected throughout the process, from the choice of the best raw materials down to the delivery of the finished products.

The point of pride of the Indian production plant is the fact that it is equipped with modern, sophisticated, technologically advanced machinery working under the supervision of highly qualified and trained personnel.
