Pellenc Italia presented its new range of machines for harvesting grapes, whose “combined multifunction” coupling system received the 2019 Sitevi Innovation Awards at the latest edition of the Montpellier technology production fair, as well as presenting a new range of sprayers. These new machines incorporate the latest Pellenc technologies in terms of operator safety, ease of use and respect for the environment. The Optimum multi-purpose self-propelled machine, which had already gained widespread acceptance among winemakers for its comfort, productivity and low noise, was further improved by allowing combined work using two tools on two complete rows. For example, now the wine growers will be able to prune the vines and work the soil simultaneously in two complete rows making a single pass. This is an important innovation which has also introduced an optimized machine cleaning system, resulting in greater safety and ease of use, in particular thanks to the new spacious and ergonomic cab. The attention of the French public also focused on the new Eole 2000 and 3000 sprayers for controlled treatments. The modifications made to the Eole sprayer consist in an improvement in safety for the users, thanks to a product incorporator that allows the mixture to be prepared from the ground. The new version has an integrated system for rinsing the tanks thanks to a built-in 350-litre tank of clean water. The capacity ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 litres allows an increase in capacity, as required by some markets. These new tools are equipped with the DPAE device (Flow Proportional to Electronic Speed) which regulates the delivery of the product based on the speed of the vehicle.
