John Deere expands its professional green area care product range

John Deere is expanding its offerings for landscape professionals, municipalities, and sports facility maintenance. Highlighted among the main new features are the updates made to the ZTrak zero-turn lawnmower range. The entry-level Z740R model introduces the 122cm or 154cm 7IronPRO side-discharge decks, featuring a more robust build and greater resistance to intensive use. The vehicle is powered by a 23.5 Hp petrol engine and has a forward speed of 16 km/h. It features ergonomic updates, including a new anti-scalping wheel configuration and a driving position in line with higher-range models. For high-intensity applications, the American company is placing its Z997R and Z998R diesel lawnmowers on the market. The first comes equipped with an 11 cm color touchscreen display and drive-by-wire steering, which does away with the column and rigid mechanical links between the steering wheel and the wheels, offering better control and greater operator comfort. The mower is available with a 7IronPRO side-discharge deck or a FastBack PRO rear-discharge deck up to 183 cm. This model is powered by a 37.4 Hp three-cylinder diesel engine and among the most significant upgrades is the integrated air suspension seat. The Z998R, on the other hand, has been designed to maximize productivity in open areas with an E-CUT electric independent wing cutting deck configuration that makes it possible to quickly switch from cutting widths of 254 cm to more compact 203 or 152 cm configurations. This allows the lawnmower to quickly adapt to any obstacles or changes in the terrain. The side plates can also adapt to the morphology of the terrain, helping to maintain constant cutting quality. All ZTrak models can be equipped with the JDLink M-Modem for integration with the John Deere Operation Center for vehicle monitoring, maintenance scheduling and centralized operations management. In the municipal and large green area maintenance sector, John Deere offers the GS Gator range, in both electric and petrol versions. Both configurations share compact dimensions, with a width of 125 cm for use on narrow paths and limited access areas, but with high performance and a payload capacity of up to 544 kg and a towing capacity of 680 kg. These features mean that the GS Gator can be used in various daily activities, such as transporting equipment and materials. Alongside its solutions for professional and municipal green spaces, John Deere also offers a range of lawnmowers for the maintenance of golf clubs and sports facilities. The star of this segment is the 2775 E-Cut electric mower powered by lithium-ion batteries and designed to reduce the risk of hydraulic leaks on grassy surfaces as there are no hydraulic systems on the cutting units. Its main strengths include silence, advanced management of the operating settings, and Whisper Link technology, an innovative system for raising and lowering the cutting units, which allows them to follow the ground contours up to 42 degrees. John Deere's new product line also includes the TruFinish 1210 and 1235 Electric Utility Rake vehicles, developed for the maintenance of bunkers and sports surfaces.
