The new Valentini bed forming machines

Valentini has come up with a new system for the manufacturer’s raised bed forming machines for application to the Viper, Fighter, Raider and Caiman stone burier models.

These machines are designed for refining dense clayey terrain and bury stones present in the soil. The stone buriers built by the Padua company are equipped with the new system which enables the machine to form raised beds in sizes for the operations required by their end-users. An essential feature of Valentini’s bed former is the use of a parallelogram which not only allows the height of the bed to be regulated but also immediately creates the bed itself to reduce the quantity of the materials accumulated. Auxiliary 12 V electric vibrators mounted on each of the bed forming panels ensure more compact beds and the coulters which lift the soil can be regulated according to the type of terrain worked on. The Viper, Fighter, Raider and Caiman bed formers differ in size, tractor power requirements and depths of work. The Viper is available in widths of 2.7 up to 4.2 meters for the power requirement of 90 to 150 Hp. The Fighter model is built for widths of 3.2 to 4.7 meters and power needed is 110 to 200 Hp. The Raider size is 3.7 to 5.7 meters for power at 130 to 300 Hp and the largest is the Caiman which goes from 4.2 to 7.7 meters and requires a minimum of 180 Hp up to a maximum of 400. The Viper model works to the depth of 25 cm and the Fighter, Rader and Caiman can reach down to 28 cm deep. The construction of these machines conforms to safety regulations thanks to a highly resistant closed structure for the prevention of accidents and the dispersion of the dust raised during operations. These bed formers can also be converted to conventional rotary tillers by simply reversing rotation and eliminating the rear screen.
