Full innovation was the slogan that accompanied the 117th edition of Fieragricola, the exhibition hosted by Veronafiere which this year saw participation by 816 companies from 14 countries, distributed across 11 pavilions, recording the attendance of 100,000 visitors.

On the Italian visitor front, the organizers reported a 10% increase in the number of attendees from Southern Italy, also thanks to the increased promotion carried out in the area with road shows presenting the event. With regard to internationalization efforts, the trade fair organization's collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) brought delegations of operators from 28 countries to Verona, who held numerous B2B meetings with exhibiting companies.

New features at Fieragricola 2026 included an area dedicated to robotics companies, with a forum showcasing demonstrations and applications of new technologies, a biosolutions space with workshops on biostimulants and biocontrol, days, workshops, and competitions dedicated to the dairy industry, and a summit dedicated to the pork industry.

An extensive program of meetings and conferences dedicated to the sector's most current issues set the tone for the four-day event.  Among these was the first edition of the General Assembly of Animal Husbandry – "Uniting the Supply Chain to Strengthen Made in Italy and Food Sovereignty" – organized by Fieragricola together with Assalzoo, the national association of livestock feed producers. The conference identified guidelines for the near future of the sector: working together to increase livestock production and national self-sufficiency while maintaining high standards of animal welfare, sustainability, and product quality to meet consumer demands and increase exports.

The sixth edition of the Innovation Award, promoted by Fieragricola in collaboration with the publishing house L'Informatore Agrario, included the product categories of agricultural machinery, plant protection products and fertilizers, livestock farming, renewable energy, start-ups, and new technologies. The awards were presented on the opening day of the event and included 6 Gold Leaves and 14 Silver Leaves, 26 honoable mentions and 6 Green Innovation honorable mentions for highly environmentally sustainable products. The Golden Leaves awards went to the autonomous tracked robot RC 3075 from Black Shire, capable of operating in agricultural environments in place of a traditional tractor, to the trailed sprayer Zephiro from Caffini, 100% electric and designed for sustainable treatments in vineyards and orchards, offering high levels of maneuverability, safety, and savings in technical resources, to the Biosensor MCA for milk cell analysis from DeLaval, which allows for real-time automatic somatic cell counting during milking for early disease detection, to the organic micro-granular biostimulant MRHI from Landlab, designed to improve plant "sub-comfort" conditions, particularly tolerance to water stress, to the Autolay from Moretto Officine Meccaniche, a fully electric machine capable of automating all phases of dripline deployment, and to the Idro Group's Lambda, a compact system for the extraction and recovery of nitrogen from livestock waste and biogas-biomethane digestate. Among recipients of the Silver Leaves were the BT lawnmower by Bertoni, the Axion 9 CMatic system by Claas, the Emil Lavel laser sensor by Emiliana Serbatoi, the non-original equipment configuration and management system by Merlo and the Y-SeedSensor by Ynnova.

According to Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, "Innovation is increasingly an integral part of agricultural enterprises to improve efficiency and competitiveness, and Fieragricola confirms its position as a platform that accelerates technology transfer and connects the world of research with that of businesses and markets". FederUnacoma was present at Fieragricola with an institutional stand in Pavilion 9 and a press conference held on February 4th in the Puccini Hall of the Congress Center at the exhibition center. During the conference, the Federation's President and Director General, Mariateresa Maschio and Simona Rapastella, respectively, presented the latest data on the national agricultural machinery market and updates on the organization of EIMA 2026.
