The harmonious relationship between man, tractor and the environment is the objective of Argo Tractors, the Reggio Emilia-based group that manufactures Landini, McCormick and Valpadana brand tractors, with a focus on satisfying the needs of today's farmers with technologically advanced equipment without compromising the prospects of tomorrow's farmers.

This philosophy of the Reggio Emilia-based company is at the heart of its 2022 promotional campaign, which, with the headline "Improving agriculture by improving life" and graphics inspired by the fundamental elements of nature - water, earth and air - aims to underline its vision and commitment to increasingly sustainable development.

A commitment that is concretely implemented with design choices under the banner of Industry 4.0, ad hoc training of employees and renewed production facilities. On the latter front, Argo Tractors has been implementing the Waterwall project since 2010, which cuts the use of coolants through a regeneration process that removes foreign oils and eliminates oily mists, ensuring a healthy and safe working environment, together with a reduction in exhausted coolants, thus reducing the environmental impact of production processes. As far as the vehicles produced are concerned, significant investments have been made to introduce electrification with the creation of the Electra Evolving Hybrid concept installed on the Landini REX4, a technical novelty at EIMA International 2021.  The system includes two electric motors on the   front axle, sensors, a generator and a battery dedicated to energy recovery during braking and deceleration for a hybrid tractor with a diesel engine powering the front electric motors. This system will generally result in improved transport stability, a 10% fuel saving and a 15% improvement in steering angle.

Antonio Salvaterra, Argo's Marketing Director, emphasises that "as a multinational company we know that we have a responsibility towards society and the environment, in particular for our production which is closely linked to the land and the way in which it is cultivated and enhanced. This is why we put technological innovation at the forefront of our research and development, to create efficient, high-performance tractors with a soul that is attentive and respectful of the human factor and the environment."

The Argo Tractors group has five plants in Italy with 1,800 employees and an annual production capacity of 22 thousand tractors; it is present throughout the world thanks to eleven commercial branches and 130 importers.
