The fifth edition of the EIMA Agrimach India, the international exhibition of agricultural machinery and equipment, will take place at the Pusa Institute (Indian Agricultural
Research Insitute) of New Delhi. Also this year, the event organized by the Italian Federation of agricultural machinery manufacturers and the Indian Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industries FICCI makes use of the support provided by the Emilia Romagna Region and the ICE Agency. This biennial exhibition, (organized in a country such as India, that imposed itself as the first market in the world for tractor sales with over 600,000 units sold per year), could play a leading role on the scene of the events dedicated to agricultural mechanization. In fact, as witnessed by the exhibition’s numbers almost half of the 300 exhibitors came from abroad, and the visitors attending the event were 38,000 in  the previous edition. The most important Indian and international manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment focus on the EIMA Agrimach showcase to develop their businesses in the Subcontinent but also to reach the operators of the entire Asian area, which represents one of the emerging realities in the agricultural field, showing an increasing demand for agricultural technologies. Economic operators from China, Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam and other Asian countries consider Agrimach as a reference point to get to know the most suitable technological innovations for any agro-industrial processing. In this context, the exhibition site will host a static machine exhibition and a vast outdoor area dedicated to dynamic tests for the display of mechanical means at work. This area will also allow visitors to evaluate the characteristics of the machines with the help of a dedicated staff of technicians and testers from the exhibiting companies. The cooperation between Asian operators and Italian industries is in the foreground at Agrimach. This partnership can count, for the 2017 edition, on the support provided by the Ice Agency. The 2017 edition represents a significant milestone, not only for the event itself, but also within the more general context of a collaboration between Italy and India for the promotion of agricultural mechanization. As explained by the FederUnacoma organizers, Eima Agrimach is the result of a ten-year partnership between FederUnacoma and FICCI, a partnership That along the years resulted in the creation of agricultural machinery live events in Punjab and Maharashtra, as well as incoming missions in India and Italy.
