Launched last November at EIMA International, the Tritone Sprint biochipper was designed by Ceccato Olindo of Arsego (Padua) mainly for use in the non-professional field. Tritone Sprint is in fact a 'domestic' biochipper that nevertheless offers high-level performance in terms of working speed, cutting efficiency and reliability. Powered by a 2.4 horsepower battery-powered Honda engine, the new model features a loading hopper that facilitates the insertion of branched plant residues with a maximum diameter of 3 or 4 centimetres. The cutting apparatus consists of two main blades, two counter blades and six knives that chop up the material, while the transmission between the engine and the cutting unit is of the belt type. The Padua-based company opted for this solution because it has proven to reduce the mechanical stress on the engine. The Tritone Sprint model is equipped with two high-quality mechanical wheels and weighs 70 kilogrammes. The new biochipper is certainly not the only one in the Olindo Ceccato range. The line of the Padua-based manufacturer is composed of more than 70 models, designed to meet the most diverse working needs of operators, both professional and amateur.
