Vicon, integrated solutions for haymaking
Innovation signed by Vicon for EIMA 2014, the Vicon EXTRA 332XF FlexiSwat, the first front disc mower with an actively driven transmission swath former, designed for both narrow swathing and wide spreading. A perfect combination of innovation and traditional farming
Vicon was among the protagonists of EIMA International, in the field of hay machinery. The company made its debut at the exhibition in Bologna. The first highlight was the mower EXTRA 332XF FlexiSwat with front discs, a machine designed to form rows of three different widths up to a maximum of 2.2 metres.
From the technical point of view, the new Vicon mower is equipped with the proven system with counter-rotating plates with three blades and with the BreakAway system (protects the machine in case of impact). It presents itself with the innovative FlexiSwat auger, which conveys the forage towards the centre of the machine to form aerated and homogeneous swaths. These swaths improve both the drying speed and the collection procedures. In the field of tedders, the Fanex 804 model (Compact Line series) was designed to provide the operator with a high level of performance in the processing of hay. From this point of view, the equipment is characterized not only for a reduced power requirement of the tractor and a structure with eight compact rotors – the outer two are driven by a steel finger transmission joint with HexaLink clutch (ideal for folding during transport) – but, also and above all, for its simplified maintenance.
The Fanex 804 is equipped with advanced construction solutions, such as the two shock absorbers coupled with a central “V” frame (reducing the feed effort), which extend its life cycle. Productivity and contained dimensions also for the Andex 904 Hydro rake, able to work with a width of 8 to 9 metres, varying (hydraulically) the width of the swaths from 1.2 up to 2.2 metres.
Among the most significant technical features: the ProLine gearbox (zero maintenance); the ability to remove and exchange individual spring holder arms; the new structure of the cam with bearings, allowing to quickly release the crop and to form uniform and regular swaths.
Finally, the “hydro” axles lowers the position of the application for road transport, while the patented Terralink Four system adapts the profile of the equipment to uneven terrain (up to 15% in height difference).
