Agrishow 2018, a window opening on Brazil

The Agrishow review is returning to the São Paulo State in Brazil for the 25th edition of the event. There are 800 brand names coming up for the exhibition on 440,000 m22for more than 150,000 visitors expected to arrive as well as an Italian collective of 17 manufacturers thanks to the work of ICE, the Italian Trade Agency, and FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation. There is a golden logo for the silver anniversary of one of the most important agricultural machinery expositions in South America, the 25th Agrishow scheduled for April 30 to May 4 in Ribeirão Preto. More than 800 brand names will be exhibiting during the Brazilian event which welcomed 159,000 visitors for the 2017 show which reported business completed at a value of $ 680 million. There has been no change in the format of 440,000 m2alloted alongside the static trial fields where it will be possible witness machinery and equipment for all types of crop operations in the country’s various regions and for all sizes of farms.  

The 23 merchandise categories present various products on display and the services on offer: precision agricultural machinery and equipment and for family farming, storage systems and biodiesel production, components, seeds and fertilizers, irrigation equipment and workers’ safety measures, vehicles for operations from trucks to aircraft, financial services and insurance, publications in the sector, universities and research centers. The exposition is organized by Informa Exhibitions and promoted by the leading associations in the Brazilian agricultural supply chains, Abag for agri-business, Abimaq for machinery and equipment, Anda for the use of fertilizer and the São Paulo agriculture and livestock federation, Faesp, and the Brazilian Rural Society. Agrishow is considered the reference appointment in Latin America for acquiring knowledge of technological innovations and the trend of agricultural operations. Brazilian agriculture is supported by the federal government with R$ 190.25 million investments allocated for the two years 2017-2018 to be increased by 2.3% annually to create cultivable land for boosting production. Italian agricultural machinery is coming up for presentation at the Ribeirão Preto event in a collective of 17 manufacturers organized by ICE, the Italian Trade Agency, and FederUnacoma taking over a 900 m22exhibition area close to the entrance for visitors. The Italian Pavilion is an ample area which includes a hall set aside for meetings with business people. Dealing in agricultural machinery between Italy and Brazil in 2017 resulted in a significant 43% gain up to € 29 million in Italian exports, € 2 million for tractors for a 157% increase and Brazilian imports in Italy up by 37% at € 2.6 million. 

At Agrishow, FederUnacoma will also present EIMA International staged by the federation in Bologna and scheduled for next November 7 to 11 in Bologna. The 2018 edition of this great exposition will be set out for Brazilian business people and members of the media during a press conference in the IAC Auditorium scheduled for 12:00 noon on May 2. For the 2016 edition, 445 Brazilian business people took part in the Bologna review.

The Knowledge Arena will host meetings and conferences on the main issues in the sector and announce the winners of the Machinery of the Year on May 1. This competition, sponsored by the Agriworld publication, awards prizes for the winners selected by end-users asked to vote online on the best machinery brought to the market in 2017 and early in the current year. The categories named are for sugarcane harvesting, wheat harvesting, irrigation and seeding. Agrishow will also stage four vintage tractors from private collections featuring an L25 model of a 1957 Landini powered by a horizontal diesel engine in the Field Memory area of the central square.
