AirSpray, the precision sprayers

At Agritechnica, the Bologna company Toselli (headquartered in San Giovanni in Persiceto) presented the complete and updated range of its AirSpray sprayers, which have been on the market since the early 1990s. The longevity of this line of machines can be explained by the option of using them both as mist sprayers for foliar treatment and as “traditional” sprayers with anti-drift support. In particular, AirSpray technology allows to optimize the distribution of the product (by contact) on developed foliar devices, for which very uniform and precise treatments are required with a minimum dispersion of the product in the environment. It is precisely for this reason that Toselli sprayers are indicated for treatments on horticultural crops and nurseries. “Up to 50% reduction in water and active ingredient consumption; drift reduction up to 50%; reduction up to 70% of the product dispersed in the ground due to leaf washing; these are just some of the benefits offered by the AirSpray sprayers”, explains the manufacturer with a technical note. But that’s not all, because Toselli’s machines also stand out for their ability to penetrate the leaves and ensure uniformity of treatment; for persistence on plants; for the ability to work at top performance even in the most demanding weather conditions. Furthermore, the AirSpray system can be used as an anti-drift instrument, in any operating situation such as - for example - pre-emergence weeding. “Usually - adds Toselli - air systems cannot be used in these conditions because they increase the drift effect and worsen the uniformity of treatment. Instead, with AirSpray technology, the air is not used as a distribution vehicle but as protection, collecting and depositing the residual drift on the ground without interfering with the work of the nozzles”. With the implementation of the range, AirSpray is now available on bars from 8 to 36 metres in length, in three categories of fans with diameters of 620, 820 and 920 millimetres.
