BCS Sky Jump: the "concept" goes into production

The business from Milan has chosen Eima International for the launch of its latest innovation, a hybrid vineyard tractor, with rubber crawler-wheels. An upgrade is also arriving on other specialized and single-axle vehicles. For the maintenance of green areas, debut for the self-propelled Ma.Tra. 350

Bcs, Ferrari, Pasquali, Ma.Tra. and Mosa: the BCS Group partecipates for the first time at the Bolognese event with all the brands of its team and for this occasion launches important new products on both Italian and foreign market.

In the sector of specialized vehicles, the Sky Jump tractor “evolves”, by turning from the image of concept tractor to enter with full rights into the range of the business from Abbiategrasso (Milan) with a VM 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with a 91 Hp intercooler and internal EGR System. The Sky Jump is characterized by a dual configuration – rubberized front-end and rear end of rubber-crawler – that confers to the machine the same handling qualities of a classic tractor and the same stability and traction of a crawler. A hybrid construction for the new Bcs tractor, which on one hand allows to reduce the effect of soil compaction and on the other hand optimizes the operator's comfort, while being compatible with on-road circulation (homologated for 40 km/h). In addition, the Dualsteer double steering wheel system, the short wheelbase and low barycenter make the Sky Jump the ideal vehicle to work in total safety on both downward and side slopes of row crops. Another strong point is represented by the comfortable Compact cabin, designed with an appropriate size for the underfoliage use in pergola-trellised vineyards and greenhouses.

Still in the sector of specialized vehicles, the business from Lombardia has provided an upgrade on many models. On 25 and 36 horsepower isodiametric vehicles with steering wheels, starts off the PTO (Power Take Off), independent and put into action by means of an electro-hydraulic control positioned on the dashboard, while on SDT tractors with differentiated steering wheels and short wheelbase, makes its debut the new pressurized Compact cabin (classified in category 4), which optimizes air quality inside of the cockpit by reducing the amount of dusts, aerosol and gases. Implementation within sight also for tractors with Dualsteer double steering system, which, with the introduction of four hydraulic pistons to support the steering system, gain a better comfort guide and steering performance. This results in a perfect grip (even at a high speed on carriageways) and a better steering sensitivity when maneuvering the vehicle at the end of the field.

In the sector of the maintenance of green areas, the spotlight is on the Ma.Tra. 350, a self-propelled machine designed for the professional maintenance of green areas (both public and private) and for all the typical works of municipalities. This machine, since it is provided with a whole series of professional equipment, can be used all the year round. Easy to handle, with a limited bending radius, comfortable in the driver's seat and stable even on slopes and slippery terrain, Ma.Tra. 350 is supplied by a 44 horsepower engine coupled with an hydrostatic transmission and a single speed range (from 0 to 20 km/h) and continuously variable transmission. This model has been provided by the team from Milan with a 4WD traction and a 1,000 liters collector bar with a 210 cm high hydraulic tilting mechanism. In the end, worth mentioning always in the Ma.Tra. range, is the new white livery of the Ma.Tra. 300, in perfect tune with the aesthetic of the brand.

Restyling on arrival also for single-axle vehicles, where Bcs makes its debut with Honda Alps professional engines, specific for the use in condition of maximum slopes. Result of the cooperation with the technicians of the Japanese brand, the Alps series provides three different propellers, the GX270, GX340 and GX390 – with technical solutions allowing Bcs motor mowers to work regularly and efficiently even on slopes with a tilt angle over 35 degrees.
