At the Commodity Classic trade show, held on 10-12 March in Houston, Texas, USA, John Deere launched an expanded 9RX range with the 9RX 710, 770 and 830 models. The new high-performance tractors are equipped with the 18-litre JD18X engine, which delivers up to 913 hp with low fuel consumption. The triple hydraulic pump option with a maximum flow rate of up to 636 l/min, and the intelligent hydraulic power management (IPM), which adds up to 40 hp if required, provide all the power needed for even the largest hydraulic implements. The 21-speed close-ratio transmission allows operators to easily set the appropriate speed for various jobs. There is also room for comfort with the new CommandView™ 4 Plus cab, which impresses with both a wide view and increased cab floor space. The suspension of the passenger compartment also, combined with an insulated sub-frame, reduces noise and vibrations. Improving driving comfort is the ActiveCommand Steering (ACS) system that adjusts the steering force according to forward speed. The refuelling has also been designed by John Deere engineers to make the vehicle easy to use, as the tank (1,952 litres) can be filled in less than four minutes, further improving operational efficiency and minimising non-productive time. In addition, the daily maintenance compartments are easily accessible from the ground or via the new service gangway around the cabin. The 9RX tractor has advanced features for smart farming, including the 32.5 cm (12.8-inch) high definition CommandCenter G5Plus  video terminal, and full integration of John Deere Precision Ag Technology such as variable metering control, 1-Click-Go-AutoSetup, section control and full AEF ISOBUS compatibility. Standard features such as JDLink connectivity and Data Sync enhance the machine's operational performance. The John Deere Operations Centre, which comes as standard, facilitates data import and collaboration with third parties.
