'Bespoke' Cylinders from Rebos Oleodinamica Srl
The Castiglione delle Stiviere-based company focuses on custom-made products. Robotic cells and cutting-edge digital technologies optimize component processing, all done in-house, ensuring precision and short manufacturing times
Hydraulic cylinders, gear boxes, and gear reducers. These components, strategic for any agricultural equipment, are the cornerstones of Rebos Oleodinamica's production. This Castiglione delle Stiviere (Mantua) company is now targeting its half-century (founded in 1980) with renewed confidence and a credibility built over the decades thanks to 'bespoke' solutions, designed to meet the user's specific needs. Built upon the know-how of Gabriele Rebecchi, Rebos is now being driven by the second generation: Samuele (innovation manager) and Simona (managing director), with the support of her husband Cristian Cusinato (production manager). Together they are pursuing a growth path that is anything but predictable, especially in a context that is complex both at the geopolitical and sectoral level. Probably the most significant figure is the significant increase in production space, which has gone from 4,000 square meters in the first factory to over 11,000 square meters in the current one. This expansion allowed for an effective generational transition and ensured the consolidation of what remains the company's core business: the production of hydraulic cylinders. Significant production capacity: over 15,000 jacks per month destined for use in numerous sectors including agriculture, logistics, construction and road infrastructure, ecology and forestry.
Rebos Oleodinamica's management emphasizes this repeatedly: the company's strength lies in offering custom solutions that meet specific customer needs, not standardized and anonymous products. This result is rendered possible by means of a production process managed entirely internally, where each single component is manufactured with precision using state-of-the-art equipment. For the Rebecchis, maintaining all production in their own factory, limiting outsourcing to a minimum, represents a true corporate philosophy, an identity choice. This also fully reflects the innovative drive that has led the company to embark on a journey of digital transformation and advanced automation, redefining its entire production system based on cutting-edge automatic cutting lines. After entering the parameters, the bars are loaded, cut, and sent for robotic drilling and turning, drastically reducing work times and improving precision. One of the pivotal points in the growth of Rebos Oleodinamica was the creation of robotic cells for the automated turning of components, capable of speeding up production processes without impacting quality. Each island integrates CNC lathes, vertical warehouses, and anthropomorphic robots that pick pieces autonomously, optimizing time, resources, and safety.
Again on the production front, Rebos Oleodinamica has introduced a suspended conveyor belt that ensures the connection between the various processing areas, conveying the components towards the assembly station. Ten vertical warehouses automatically manage material storage and ensure continuous and interconnected production flow. The next step for Rebos Oleodinamica is the complete digitalization of processes with the activation of a manufacturing execution system (MES), which will allow real-time monitoring of order progress, data traceability and production performance.
In an ever-evolving sector, Rebos Oleodinamica demonstrates how tradition and innovation can coexist successfully, transforming challenges into growth opportunities. Its ability to adapt to market needs while maintaining a strong production identity represents the company's true added value. With an eye to the future and strong roots in the region, the company is preparing to face new challenges with determination. It is a journey that attests to how quality, technology, and strategic vision are the essential ingredients for remaining competitive over time.
