Caffini sprayers, durable and innovative

The Caffini stand at Agritechnica hosts the Rider model, the latest in the range of self-propelled sprayers. It is a stable and sturdy machine (the frame is made of steel) that easily adapts to the treatment of any type of open field cultivation, including horticultural crops. The strengths of the new Caffini sprayer are the independent air suspension, the new 2,500 and 3,000 litre tanks with an ultra-low centre of gravity, the perfect weight distribution between the two axles even at full load, the 4 driving and steering wheels, and the Bosch-Rexroth hydrostatic system.

The cabin has been designed to guarantee maximum comfort for the operator thanks to its active carbon filters (category 4), 360° visibility, and the on-board computerized systems. The engine is a 4-cylinder Stage 4 - 100 kW, AdBlue. But the real strength of Rider is the chassis, with continuous widening of the track (directly from the cabin) from 150 to 300 cm for a tight turning radius of only 280 cm. Available with bars from 18 to 24 metres with air sleeve, the latest addition to the Caffini range is available with a ground clearance of 120 cm, and from 2020 the version with a 170 cm clearance will be in production. Among the other innovations by Caffini we find the Spray Veg sprayer, suitable for greenhouse and open field processing of all crops planted in raised beds. Thanks to the asymmetrical closure hydraulic bar, 4 complete beds can be treated even if off-centre from the tractor, which always stays in the designated lanes. Available with tanks of 300, 400 and 600 litres and 7.2 - 7.5 - 8 hydraulic bars (the maximum height when the bars are closed is 2 metres), Spray Veg is a sturdy yet light machine, suitable for low power engines. Lastly, there is the Prestige Plus 5500 high-end sprayer, which is noteworthy for the new Isobus systems, the GPS, the automatic steering axle and the automatic closing of every single jet, as well as the BL-System that automatically levels the bar. The 5,500-litre tank enhances the operating time of this model, while the steel bars (from 21 to 36 metres also available with an air sleeve up to 30 metres) give great durability to the application.
