Components: the winning solutions from GKN Walterscheid

Three innovations from GKN Walterscheid at EIMA International. It starts from the tool-side protection cuff which, rewarded as Technical Innovation 2016, was designed by the German company in order to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the transmission shafts and limiters from the PTO. As explained in a note by the manufacturer, removing the cuff from the sleeve (the cuff can also be removed completely) requires just a few easy steps that allow you to access the universal joint very quickly. A “Technical Innovation” award also went to the new third hydraulic point also signed by GKN Walterscheid. It is a component with an integrated nitrogen accumulator, which enables the instant absorption of shocks and recoils caused by uneven terrain. A particularly advantageous constructive solution because, besides making the engagement of the equipment to the tractor safer, it significantly improves the driving comfort and reduces the wear on the components (of the tractor and the paired tools). The K68 model is an automatic limiter equipped with a system of bearings that ensure maximum reliability of operation even at high revolutions (1000 rpm). In addition, due to the large grease chambers and a new sealing system, the maintenance intervals are significantly lengthened and lubricant spillage and contamination is avoided.
