The FAE Group headquartered in Fondo, in the Trentino Alto Adige, specialized in forestry and agricultural shredders has presented the new UML/S/DT model forestry mulcher with a fixed tooth rotor system for tractors with power from 130 to 190 Hp. The UML/S/DT replaces the UML/DT/HS and in the FAE range, the new mulcher fits halfway between the small UML/DT for tractors in the 80 to 130 Hp category and the medium size UMM/DT requiring a range of 160 to 240 Hp. The manufacturer explained in a technical note, “The new mulcher is an improvement of the most important features of the FAE experience in the world of forestry machinery thanks to an advanced design which improves performance and there is the absolute quality of the materials used in the manufacturing process.” The new mulcher the Trentino manufacturer introduced to the market features two differing systems for regulating parallelism, W or Z self aligning devices, for adapting the machine to the most variable tasks performed by the operator with the extra ripper for push frame with the interchangeable bolt-on “spike” counter blades for finer mulching and the hydraulic top link and multiple tooth options. The new design of the inspection door allows quick and easy access to mechanical components. The series components provided include a torque limiter shaft, a free wheel gearbox, a hydraulic hood and an anti-dust fully enclosed machine body. Basic standard equipment also extends to a centralized greasing hub, hydraulic hoses integrated in the frame, cylinder protections, adjustable skids, a transmission with XPB belts, interchangeable bolt on counter blades, inner anti wear FCP plates and bolted on protection chains. The two versions of the mulcher provide working widths of 2.07 and 2.3 meters for the 200 and the 250 respectively.
