Falc's "extreme" line

A line of ploughs designed to work on "extreme" terrain. Based in Faenza (Ravenna), Falc offers three models for this market segment.

The first, FalcLand, is a plough that can be equipped with both convex ploughshares for very wet soils and concave teeth for dry soils. Built with a working width of 3 metres, it can reach a depth of 45 centimetres and can be coupled to tractors with 240 to 400 horsepower.

The Freeland model, on the other hand, has a lighter weight (2.6 tonnes compared to the 4.1 tonnes of its "big brother") and thus a lower power requirement from the tractor (between 150 and 240 horsepower) and a slightly lower working depth (35 cm) than the FalcLand. The low weight and the possibility of combining it with mid-range tractors - explains the manufacturer - allow the FreeLand plough to operate in extremely wet or dry conditions while achieving an excellent working speed (1 hectare per hour).

The third and last high-performance plough from the Romagna-based company is the BobLand model, for tractors from 80 to 120 horsepower, which can be fitted with either convex or concave teeth depending on the operating situation. BobLand, available in working widths of 1.9, 2.1, 2.35 and 2.5 metres, has been specifically designed for tilling soil for vegetable cultivation both in the open field and in greenhouses. However, it can also be used for all types of production that require frequent and non-invasive operations on medium-textured (light or sandy), damp, wet or very wet soils. The working depth is 35 centimetres.

The range of Falc rotary ploughs is designed to optimise soil tillage, preventing the formation of that compact and smooth soil that creates the stagnation of water so harmful to plant growth and health. These machines - says the company - are popular not only for the quality of their work but also for their low fuel consumption.
