After EIMA 2022, the bestsellers from Falc, a company located in Faenza, in the province of Ravenna, make a stop at Agritechnica. In the exhibition spaces of the company, the spotlight is on the Spit Green Hydro professional shredder-mulcher. It's a machine designed to work in vineyards and orchards with tractors ranging from 50 to 120 horsepower, featuring an innovative dual side product discharge system. The shredded material - as explained by the manufacturer - is deposited on the sides (left and right) near the row edges, thanks to the use of modular conveyors that, through a hydraulic adjustment device, make the material flow very precise. Under-row mulching is advantageous because, as the manufacturer claims, in addition to having a fertilising effect, it improves the moisture condition of the plant roots and limits the growth of weeds, thereby avoiding repeated and harmful chemical weeding interventions. The BioFast 4800 DT model, also featured in the last edition of EIMA, is a flail collection mower equipped with an auger that, in a single pass, can shred and collect the material. Compatible with all self-propelled shredders available on the market, the BioFast 4800 DT has a working width of 4.8 meters and comes equipped with dual transmission as standard and rotors with 104 knives. These construction solutions increase the machine's productivity and reduce processing times and costs. The shredded and collected material has very low levels of soil and other impurities, which - according to Falc - not only prevents possible shredder malfunctions but also makes the product particularly suitable for energy purposes in biogas and biomethane plants, as well as for animal feed.
