Falc, farming with a respect for the soil

Consumer attention to the issues of environmental sustainability and food quality is growing and with it the weight of organic farming. In the wake of these new trends, the Faenza company Falc has launched a range of cutters specifically designed for organic farming. This equipment has a special rotor, called Terminator, which eliminates grass and crop residues without using chemical herbicides. This proposal from the Faenza stable (Ravenna) is an advantageous solution because it lowers the production costs per hectare, minimizes the destructuring of the soil, and increases the yield of the land. The Falc organic farming drills are offered with a working width ranging from 3 to 6 meters and with a power ranging from 120 to 380 horses. In the field of soil processing, the Romagna company presents an innovative technology of soil conservation that exploits the principles of minimum processing.

This machine - called Strip-Till - combines the benefits of conventional processing with the advantages obtained from non-processing, intervening only on the portion of land that must contain the row of seeds. Depending on the width of the row, only 30% of the surface is processed. In this way not only erosion and drying phenomena are prevented, but also time and operating costs are reduced, creating, in a single step, an ideal seeding bed for row crops.

The Falc Strip-Till will be available, on request, in different pitches and row widths, for 130-220 hp tractors. The tools work at a depth between 15 and 25 cm and can be easily adjusted to the desired depth.

The development of the roots is stimulated by their greater penetration into the deeper layers of the soil to absorb more nutrients and thus allow a healthier and more luxuriant growth of the plants.
