Vicon presented at EIMA 2022 the new Fanex 1564C, a 15.6 metre hay tedder equipped with the TerraFlow system. Thanks to this technology, the 14 (small-diameter) rotors follow the contour of the ground, flex and adapt to it independently of the supporting frame, thus improving the precision of the work. The design of the rotors allows them to overlap, thus ensuring efficiency in both forage harvesting and rotation for an even distribution across the entire working width. The distance of the tines from the working surface remains constant for clean and precise work. The Fanex 1564C is equipped with 380/55-17 tyres that give the machine stability while at the same time protecting the soil. Optionally, the Vicon hay tedder can be equipped with 500/50-17 tyres. To minimise downtime, the components of this model have been designed to simplify maintenance. Greasing points have been reduced while the transmission (except for the PTO) - says a manufacturer note - the rotors and most of the couplings are maintenance-free. The machine is driven by two distributors, one single-acting to raise and lower the hay tedder, the other double-acting for folding (the transport width is less than 3 metres). For this reason, the Fanex 1564C can be used with any type of tractor.
