Greenlifetire, sustainable and durable wheels

Mecaplast, a company from Ghiardo di Bibbiano (Reggio Emilia), specialising in the design and production of plastic moulding and injection moulding dies, is presenting two new models of wheels from the Greenlifetire line at Agritechnica 2023. GLT260X80 and GLT260X120 are designed to equip different types of equipment. On seed drills they promote soil compression, thus facilitating correct positioning of the seed in the seeding furrow; on tillage machines, on the other hand, they facilitate control of the working depth. Made from high-quality thermoplastic polymers, GLT260X80 and GLT260X120 - like all models in the Greelifetire range - are 100% recyclable and therefore represent an ecologically sustainable and improved alternative to traditional vulcanised rubber wheels. The polyurethane from which the tyre is made is an elastic material that guarantees high performance such as increased abrasion, puncture and cut resistance and excellent ground clearance. Careful design has also allowed the Reggio Emilia-based company to create rims produced with high quality technical polymers and reinforced with a special design characterised by support ribs that increase load capacity and improve resistance to impact and mechanical stress. Another strong point of the Greenlifetire models is the special pneumatic-rim clamping system. This technology significantly reduces the risk of bead breakage as it prevents dust, sand and dirt from getting into the interstitial spaces between the rim and tyre.
