HDPlus towing systems: power, reliability, and safety from CBM

For the component sector, all the bestsellers of the CBM Group range are on the EIMA International stage. In the towing sector, the Slider tow hitches stand out, with manual or automatic pin that can even be used at speeds above 40 km/h. The automatic devices are equipped with two independent safety systems that are activated automatically as soon as the towing pin reaches the lower closing position, thus avoiding any accidental release of the application. The hook activation handle is activated with only one hand, thus allowing to quickly and safely position the hook at the desired height.  For these components, the Emilian company (headquartered in Modena) offers an HDPlus version, designed to withstand a D value of 120.9 kN and a vertical S load of 2 tonnes.

An automatic hook was designed (according to DIN standards) intended for particularly demanding uses for trailers equipped with special ball eyes (model DIN 74053 - Ø50). For operations on the road, the CBM Group catalogue includes the Slider towing system with Ø80 ball and Ø50 lateral balls, which provides top performance on the steering systems of multi-axle trailers, in accordance with current regulations. For this Ø80 Slider support too, the Modena firm offers an HDPlus version, able to withstand a D value of 120.9 kN and a vertical S load of 4 tonnes, for speeds above 40 km/h. In the CBM Group line of tow bars, a special mention goes to a new HDPlus version of Category 5, intended to be used for high-power tractors, from 250 to 500 Hp, which is therefore recommended for working at “full muscles.”
