Highlighted on Hydac Italia's stand at EIMA International you will find innovative technologies for electrification, sustainability and energy efficiency in the field of agricultural machinery. Hydac, specialised in the production and development of hydraulic and electro-hydraulic components and complete systems, and in fluid treatment in general, presents at EIMA the HY-TTC 2300 control unit that has been expressly designed for the control of intelligent off-highway vehicles with high automation, capable of managing many types of output, including electric motors, while also ensuring specific hardware and software safety architectures that are now indispensable in mobile machines (EN13849). The high processing power, the possibility of distributing safety and non-safety functions among the 6 CPU cores, the high-speed communication interfaces and the large memory make these robust electronic control units ideal for the harshest working conditions, even in extreme temperatures. In addition - Hydac claims - the H-Bridge interface enhances machine precision and supports frequencies up to 1 kHz and currents up to 4A. The spotlight at the Hydac stand was also on 'Tank Optimisation' systems, i.e. on those technologies that optimise the use of hydraulic oil on board the vehicle, thus reducing the amount of oil needed to power the machine's functions and, consequently, the size of the tank. The latest innovation in this field is the TRU filter, designed to reduce the amount of air in the hydraulic oil and eliminate the water dissolved in it. Thanks to the TRU - Hydac itself explains - it is possible to reduce the risk of cavitation (i.e. the formation of air bubbles in the oil), the diesel effect (the triggering of combustion processes within the hydraulic system) and the formation of sludge, i.e. contaminating residues on the tank surface. The adoption of the TRU reduces the size of the tank significantly and lengthens the life of the components, resulting in significantly lower lifecycle costs.
