KDI Kohler: high tech engines and support

The debut of the new KDI engines marks an evolution for Kohler Engines, not only in the range of models available on the market but also, and especially, in the area of ​​technical support. This step - explains an information announcement from the manufacturer - is consequential to the KDI engine launch, to ensure that users receive technical support that is up to the expectations and technological quality of the range. Through the Technical Support Division, the first phase of this process has seen the identification of special requirements for workshops of the “KDI Qualified” centres network, whose technicians are required to have training calibrated to the specific characteristics of the new engines. The cornerstone of Kohler Engines’ new philosophy is precisely the training, through traditional tools -  classroom lessons, for example, with a technical part, assembly and disassembly practice, and dynamic testing - and through the latest digital technologies. This is Distance Learning, a remote learning resource integrated within the iService multimedia platform. Created to support the KDI range and gradually extended to all the families of Kohler Engines, iService is designed to combine the consultation of technical manuals with the usability offered by a digital evolution that includes interactive content easily accessible by PCs, smartphones, and tablets. It is a single environment for the entire Kohler Engines after-sales world, where you can find user and maintenance manuals, workshop manuals, parts catalogues, the warranty system and the Distance Learning online training, a learning resource divided into functional pathways for different types of engines and in separate sections, with online checks at the end of each topic.
