Kuhn brings several new products to EIMA International. These include the FC 9330 RA mower conditioner with swath grouper, the MERGE MAXX 440F front-mounted windrower and the VB 7100 round baler. The FC 9330 RA mower conditioner with swath grouper, equipped with hydraulic mats capable of generating swaths of 1.8 to 3.6 metres, is prized for its ability to combine quality of work and productivity, without sacrificing reliability and ease of use. Thanks to its OPTIDISC ELITE cutter bar, the FC 9330 RA adapts to the morphology of the terrain, reducing crop losses to a minimum. Another strong point of this model is its low maintenance; for the components most subject to wear, the manufacturer has provided for easy and economically inexpensive servicing. The LIFT-CONTROL suspension is also noteworthy, combining an upward lift of 30 cm and a rearward retraction of 17° in order to protect the cutting components in the event of impact against obstacles. In the round baler segment, Kuhn offers the new VB 7100 series designed to make high density bales in all working conditions and with a maximum capacity of 30 tonnes per hour, while the particularly sturdy design ensures maximum durability and minimal downtime. The combination of the i-DENSE system and the design of the baling chamber - with 4 belts and 3 rollers - facilitates the quick and safe formation of bales of uniform density with any crop, even silage. The Kuhn Integral rotor and the net binder with active tensioning technology ensure - respectively - good forage flow and constant net tension and strong bales. In addition, the VB 7100 round balers are equipped with a door that ejects the bale in just 4 seconds and closes again. The chains are wear-resistant and oversized, and are constantly oiled thanks to an automatic continuous lubrication system. The rotor tines are made from HARDOX wear-resistant plates; the drive rollers are fitted with 50 mm spherical bearings, while the free rollers are fitted with Kuhn's special patented seals consisting of specially designed rings to prevent contamination of the bearings. The MERGE MAXX 440 front mounted rake completes Kuhn's MERGE MAXX range. Complementing the MERGE MAXX 760, 950 and 1090 models, the 440 can work on its own, in combination with one of the other models in the range or with a GA rotor windrower, and is equipped with a conveyor belt approximately 1 m wide that optimises forage transport and side swath formation. Carpet tension adjustment is centralised and does not require the use of tools. The 3 m width of the pick-up with swath placement of approximately 1.40 m is a solution that enhances the versatility of this machine. Laying can be done on 1 or 2 sides, and is ideal for forming the rear swath and thus facilitating subsequent operations. It is also an ideal solution for separating excessively large swaths and thus facilitating crop drying. Thanks to the separate placement, the forage is distributed on both sides resulting in a central rear swath of very uniform shape and density, whichever rear machine is used. The small-diameter pick-up with Windguard roller optimises crop collection, lifting and transfer to the belts. Depending on forage volume, the roller adjusts itself upwards or downwards to achieve the best forage flow to the mats.
