Mingozzi Group, integrated solutions for flame weeding

For the technologically innovative management of farms, Mingozzi Group proposes its flame heat treatment weeding machines, updated according to 4.0 technology. "This update," the Ferrara-based company (based in Bando di Argenta) explains in a note, "allows direct analysis, even remotely, of the working data of the machines, thus increasing both their performance in the field and the environmental sustainability of the work. LPG is used as fuel, as it is particulate-free and has a negligible presence of carbon dioxide. The use of heat treatment finds application not only in organic and biodynamic farming practices, but also in those of traditional agriculture that is still environmentally friendly. The Mingozzi Group's flame weeding technologies, expressly designed for precision farming, find their ideal field of application not only in the cultivation of horticultural crops and traditional greenhouse crops (rocket, valerian, spinach, lettuce) but also in open field crops such as garlic, leek, onion, maize, soya, sunflower, alfalfa. For some particular types of open-field vegetables, especially those that are at least partially resistant due to their structure, it is possible to work directly on the rows thanks to the high precision of the machine and an air jet that makes operations even more precise and targeted. The models produced by the Mingozzi Group are also used in fruit, wine and olive cultivations, where they are able to carry out treatments only on the row and with a working width determined by agronomic requirements. In orchards and vineyards, but also in kiwi cultivations, flame weeding can be used for suckering the plants, without causing any damage to them. The great advantage of this solution is that it transforms plant residues, a possible source of inoculum for fungal diseases, into immediately available organic material that can be assimilated by the soil, thus improving the fertility and structure of agricultural soils. Flame heat treatments are used not only for weed control or to inhibit the germinability of weed seeds, but also for the elimination of fungi and pathogenic germs. In poultry and cockerel farms, the use of the solutions proposed by Bando di Argenta is of great importance as they contribute to the healthiness of the places, being used for the disinfection and sterilisation of the environments (even without washing the surfaces to be treated). The urban environment is another important field of application for the models designed by the Mingozzi Group, as they do not release polluting residues, either on the ground or in the air, and therefore allow people and animals to return immediately to the treated areas. In particular, the models designed by the Ferrara-based company can be used on roads, parks, public and sports facilities, and cycle paths, where they guarantee functional, efficient and economically sustainable operations.
