Steyr celebrated 75 years since production began by presenting the restyled Impuls CVT, Profi S-Control 8 and Profi CVT tractors at EIMA. The main update introduced by the Austrian engineers concerns the new S-Tech 700 Plus touchscreen control terminal. The screen structure is made of aluminium, which gives it greater sturdiness and durability, while the increased size of the 12.1'' touchscreen (35% larger than the S-Tec 700) makes it easier and more immediate to use. The terminal is also improved in resolution and illumination, with sharper and clearer graphics, which now - Steyr states in an information note - responds better to finger touch. Memory storage capacity has also been improved, from 256 MB to 16 GB, to optimise ISOBUS and multi-tasking operations. The Steyr 392 receiver, which includes new correction signals, is also available on these tractors. The system uses the Galileo, Beidou and QZSS satellite systems, as well as GPS and GLONASS, to speed up initialisation and achieve the required accuracy - says a note from the Austrian company (based in St. Valentin, near Linz) - with minimal chance of signal loss. Available with different base levels, the Steyr 392 receiver has a pass accuracy of 1.5 centimetres, which guarantees complete repeatability with automatic guidance, thus lowering the risk of signal loss.
