Prinoth technologies for forestry work

Hanover offered a stage to the technologies created by Prinoth (the company is based in Vipiteno, in the province of Bolzano) for the agricultural and forestry sector. These are the flagships of the Alto Adige company.

Raptor 500. This is a tool carrier designed for special operations on challenging terrain. Despite its 19 tonnes (in its category it is a real lightweight), Raptor 500 is prized for its ability to minimize soil compaction. This characteristic makes the difference especially in reforestation operations. It is equipped with a Stage V engine, decidedly fuel-efficient even when used at full power.

Prinoth Leitwolf. Originally this model was born as a snow groomer for the ski slopes, before being adapted for agricultural purposes. In particular, it was adapted to maize silage operations and for biogas processing. Leitwolf stands out for its high-profile technological equipment characterized by an innovative compacting system, a chain drive, and a hydropneumatic frame. Thanks to these particular constructive solutions, Leitwolf ensures a compacting of the material with maximum thrust force.

Forestry shredders M450e-1090. The M450e-1090 shredder was designed for excavators in the 6 to 15 tonne weight range and for tool carriers with up to 90 horsepower. These heads have no hydraulic hoses that could break or be damaged during the heaviest operations. The two-stage counter-cutting system not only prevents any blockage of the rotor that can occur with larger logs, but reduces the power requirement of the head. Moreover, thanks to the particular motor reduction gears used by Prinoth for its cutting head, M450e-1090 can be combined with any excavator according to the “Plug & Mulch” principle, i.e. without any adaptations.
