R, M, and C Series, John Deere's intelligent round balers
Advanced automation and intuitive features are the watchwords for the new generation of John Deere fixed and variable chamber round balers. All new models feature advanced ISOBUS functionality that ensures full machine integration into the John Deere Operations CenterTM. This intelligent connection allows farmers to monitor bale quality in real time. The connectivity feature provides seamless synchronization and secure storage of relevant information after the work is done. Additionally, there is an option for real-time monitoring of average bale moisture, with the operator being able to check on the tractor display if the content deviates from the preset value.
R-Series Tracking. According to John Deere, the V452R and V462R variable chamber models deliver a 15% increase in transmission power, translating into an 8% increase in field productivity. The innovative swath tracking automation function includes a flexible drawbar that allows the baler to automatically follow the swath. When following a straight swath, the system eliminates the need for manual maneuvering, automatically guiding the baler left and right as the chamber fills, creating consistently well-formed bales. Furthermore, the active tiller automatically follows curved swaths, even in corners, precisely tracking the swath, avoiding crop losses and reducing tractor maneuvering. The quick release system makes it possible to unload a bale and close the tailgate in three seconds, while the dual belt system compresses the crop to up to 140kg/m³, a 7% increase over previous models.
M Series compactness. The V452M and V462M variable chamber models offer a 10 percent increase in transmission power according to John Deere, resulting in up to an 8 percent increase in productivity. The new seamless belts with a rougher surface ensure reliable net feeding even with wet and sticky crop conditions. All new baler models feature a hydraulic blade engagement system allowing the operator to engage or disengage the blades from the comfort of the cab, while the increased engagement force ensures a uniform cut of the crop. The G5e touchscreen offers intuitive operation and baler automation allows for automatic bale unloading, improving overall ease of use.
Integrated weighing system for combination balers. The C442R, C452R and C462R combination balers are designed to produce high-quality silage. These models offer an integrated weighing system (optional) with advanced force sensors on each of the four rollers of the conveyor table, which measure the weight of each bale as it moves. With a wrapping arm speed of 40 rpm, the wrapper components are aligned with the productivity of the baler, preventing wasted time during the process. ISOBUS AUX-N control allows operators to map multi-function joystick buttons and control key baler functions via the CommandPRO leverTM.
