New Holland T5S, versatile and efficient

Last November, at Agritechnica, New Holland presented the latest generation of its T5S tractors. The series has been designed for operators looking for a powerful vehicle to be combined in a balanced way with a front loader – such as the 635 LU also manufactured by New Holland – for material handling operations. Available in 90, 101 and 110 horsepower versions, the new models feature a boldly distinctive design. Innovations introduced by New Holland engineers include the SuperSteer front axle, available as an option, which optimizes steering response and improves maneuverability, especially when moving material. The “brake to clutch” function allows the operator to control stops and starts by engaging a single pedal, while the Electronic Power Shuttle 12F/12R technology permits smooth direction changes (without clutch) and controls the machine's responsiveness to make it adapt to different types of activities.

Implement handling capacity has been improved with an optional 82 l/min high flow hydraulic pump. The new front PTO design, featuring an oil-bath clutch, increases efficiency, reduces noise and extends the time between service operations. There are also new features in the cabin where the controls are intuitive and ergonomic, such as – for example – the switch that balances the simultaneous operation of the loader and changes of direction. The easy-to-read digital instrument panel provides information on fuel consumption, area worked, distance travelled and engine and transmission operation. Visibility has also been increased with the introduction of the U-shaped exhaust which improves the view to the front right of the tractor. The large 130-capacity diesel tank decreases refueling needs, while the ergonomic design improves left-front visibility. The LED lighting system has also been revamped, with a rotating beacon available upon request. Finally, it is worth noting that starting in 2026, the T5S will be able to be equipped with a factory-installed electric steering system compatible with the IntelliView IV Plus display and DirecSteer.
