The SP160 is the new Checchi & Magli potato digger rounding out towed machines for small scale mechanization of potato cultivations with the bi-row system. The new machine offers all the solutions built into the single-row versions and features a wealth of components as standard equipment to take the SP160 to a top professional level for small and medium-size cultivations. The digger, with variable inter-row spacing from 75 to 90 cm, mounts 9 share blade with variable inclinations for the depth of work and two grass cutting lateral discs 60 cm in diameter. The new digger manufactured by the Bologna company is also equipped with a chain transmission, a sieve belt for cleaning the tubers and a shaker kit which allows the belt to incline for regulating the power of the shaker in relation to the product harvested. To enhance the professional side of the machine, the SP160 has a high work capacity to ensure productivity of one to two hectares per day, depending on the conditions of the soil and the crop.

SP160 arrived to boost the range of Checchi & Magli products for mechanizing potato cultivations which include the F300L, a 1 to 4 row semi-automatic machine created for transplanting potatoes and the VR76 working 1 to 4 rows with discs and shrares for ridging the sowing bet and the single row SP50V and SP100.
