Last February, during SIMA 2019, Maschio Gaspardo was awarded the “Machine of the Year 2019” prize for the High Speed Planting technology applied to the Chrono high speed seeder. The new Maschio Group technology increases planting precision, and improves performance and comfort thanks to the latest generation ISOBUS electronics and the functional and attractive design. Chrono is a vehicle capable of doubling productivity, guaranteeing a speed of 15 km/h, compared to an average 8 km/h for similar vehicles on offer. The seeder is equipped with a pneumatic transmission system and an electrical transmission seed distribution, with a compressor that creates an adjustable air flow to uniform the trajectory of the seed. The system guarantees a constant planting depth and distance between seeds. The new Maschio Gaspardo model has been designed to adapt to any soil condition. Its highly functional design that maximizes performance and ease of use has been developed in collaboration with the Italian Design School (SID). “We are very proud to have received this important recognition that rewards the technological innovations of our Group - commented Mirco Maschio, president of Maschio Gaspardo - and precision farming is a very important area of development for us because it makes the agricultural processes more precise, reducing costs and improving productivity, with positive effects not only for the economy, but also for the environment”. Since its first appearance on the market in 2017, Chrono has already won numerous awards: the SMAU Innovation Award in Padua; the Foglia dell’Innovazione in 2018 at Fieragricola di Verona; the Gold Medal at the Polagra fair in Poland; the Technical Innovation at FIMA 2018 in Zaragoza, and above all, the Technical Mention at EIMA 2018.
